RCMP attempt damage control in wake of B.C. video

As i understand it , with a second unrelated charge layed against Geoff Mantler, and apparently a third charge, also unrelated, imminent, the issue of suspension 'with pay', has been forwarded to the RCMP Headquarters in Ottawa, and he will likely be put on 'unpaid' suspension pending outcome of the trials. Of course he'll be terminated if any of the charges stick. The only job in law enforcement he'll be able to get after that is night time security guard, with minimal interaction with the public.

I wish you had gone public. It would have helped shed light on the fact that some people can't distinguish between a tow truck and a police car. Tell me, if your wife was in labour, would you have asked the passing motorist to call a well drilling company?

I asked her to send help, that was all. I would like to call a drilling company to go up your ass for that comment but I doubt they have drills that big.

Just heard on the news this morning that Mantler is still on leave with pay four months after his thugerous act. What's the status of the thugs at Vancouver airport............4 years after the fact?

If they are pushing a pencil rather than deal with the public, I'm happy with that. One less steroid freak on the streets is one less steroid freak on the streets no matter how you slice it.

I'll bet there are 50 guys on the downtown east side that could handle that job and would be more thankful and deserving to have it. :smile:

First they have to prove to WCB and their commander that their disks really are shot from sitting in a cruiser all day.
