Here's the correct deflection..
Not really...

[Do you know the difference between 'evidence' and a 'claim'? Better yet, has anyone filed a claim against Syria's leaders at the ICC?

It was a nice try though.

Just another question: what's been taking the Canadian court system so long to enforce our Treaties? Just askin'.
BS, lots and lots of BS and foot dragging.

Northern Ontario,
So can you clarify?

I can, the ICC acts fairly swiftly.

If there was any validity to the cries from the usual suspects, the ICC would have issued arrest warrants for key Israeli officials.

Now watch how fast the deflection begins.

You had to beat me to the answer while I was making myself an after diner coffee:smile:....

Adendum:
How did I guess this was gonna turn into another anti-Joo thread???

Since there is no statue of limitations for murder, why doesn't the ICC go after Reagan's friend General Rios-Montt who killed 200,000+ Ixils?

Nothing wrong with enforcing international law. After all, I have called for that enough times on this forum. The key is, however, that I want it done on a uniform basis.

*Sigh*... so anyway... now that the zero-brains in Ontario elected an Alberta-style government they have no idea about, we must make lemon-aid.

So... let's pretend the cone-heads go ahead and spend $36 billion on jets we don't need when that same amount of money could set up a GPS satellite system controlling thousands of arctic-and-coastal patrolling drones built by Bombardier directed from a state-of-the-art command and control center...

What do we do with all those F-35s?

How about if Canada were to fly into Libya, seriously bomb the ever-loving piss out of Gaddafi - I mean destroy him, without touching land - in only the way Canadians required to use force would do, and leave the rubble to be cleaned up by the rebels and for the UN to work out details with that new government?

Ontario elected an Alberta-style government? Are you addressing some provincial election,
or this last Federal election? If it's the last Federal election, then Ontario elected whatever
an Alberta style government, whatever that is, but not the rest of the country?

...And just what is an Alberta style government? Just curious on both counts....

Ontario conservatives are like Blue PCs.

Alberta conservatives are like... well... in the early 70's the Ku Kux Klan tried to set up franchises in Alberta, sensing that Albertans were of their ilk, which was close enough, except for one little issue...

The Albertans had already set up their own extreme right organizations such that there was no space for the KKK to moved into.

Why doesn't some government just drop a dime and call Guido in Sicily? We did it for the invasion of that place and also to dump King Farouk. It worked both times then and this is a lightweight job compared to either of those tasks. No more threat to innocent peoples either. In moments Gadaffi's family would be hiring professional mourners to walk this murdering thugs remains out into the country side.

Does that mean that Libya will no longer have stability and leadership? Libya has had stability for a very long time even though it was not a nice or easy place for people to visit, and all of a sudden there are uprisings throughout the Arab world that are quickly quashed with US military attacks. Those that initiated the flash mobs did not step forward, or perhaps there was no local leader that initated the uprisings throughout the arab world. The Arab world is probably trying to identify the al queda character from the west that is causing this trouble ... but no onle indiviual wants to take credit for unsettling the political stability of the middle east. Perhaps there is no one individual in the Middle East that sought to unsettle the political stability of the region by arranging flash mobs throughout the region ... but someone with another agenda. Wouldn't it be terrific if the Middle East recovered from the flash mob political attacks and returned to sorting itself out by itself - without US military attacks, interference and influence.

Who will take control of the Libyan Riviera? The US? The UN? ... who's going to be holding the beach visas?

The Liberals and the NDp must accept some blame for that too. I ended up handing in a blank ballot because there just was no decent candidate in my riding.

The Conservatives are wrong on their more confrontational foreign policy, but then again I haven't heard the NDP or the Liberals proposing we leave NATO or NORAD either.

The NDP never mentioned anything about cutting back on party subsidies or cutting back on the CBC to balance the debt. Sure it proposed eliminating tax exemptions, and while that's good, it's just not gooed enough. Meanwhile the NDP wants to undermine the value of foreign aid by promoting protectionism. It also continues to support CIDA in spite of the fact that CIDA is well known to promote Canada's national material interests even at the expense of other countries under the guise of foreign aid.

And seriously now, there really was not much of an alternative, so the NDP and Libs and Greens must accept equal blame for this.

Right. So all Albertans are racist now. How magnanimous of you.
