I appreciate your notes addressing my personal erroneous observations and your kind words on the private section reserved for a kudo or correction.

I am no authority on the event as my husband had just died and somehow I seem to have missing information I have overlooked or
forgotten as I wasn't focused entirely on 9/11 other than the Carl Vinson issue. In an weird way I like to think husband had been hitching
a "ride" to its destination for old time's sake.

Thanks to those who have attempted to correct me or even give me a thumbs up - it's a tough topic and you writers have handled it
kindly.

Holy f*ck ES! You still can't get the idea in your little brain can you. I DON'T CARE IF OBL IS DEAD OR NOT! I don't care about the USA either. I am a Canadian and I care about Canada and our global reputation which is why I am against our involvement in Afghanistan and Lybia as invading forces. You and you brothers in the states can piss away your rights and reputation all you want and believe you are winning the war on terrorism while you move ever closer to martial law and a police state and a govt that fedds you propaganda while being closed off to ever providing any evidence of truth. You have given up your freedoms, your constitution and your bill of rights to the ill-named patriot act and the more your society moves toward being less free with less rights and more security placed on your own citizens the more those that wished to destroy tha american way of life win.

Hurts don't it!!!!

To be celebrating this doesn't even make sense...... I just don't get it.

It makes perfect sense to me, the terror threat can now be raised again allowing for more freedoms and rights to be removed and suspended and the patriot act to be extended even further. To those that want a complete police state in what is supposed to be the freeest country in the world it is time for great celebration.

Just thought I would bump this back to the top for discussion. No matter how much celebration is happening and how much evidence or lack thereof there is that OBL is dead or not the radical muslim groups have still won.

"I am way too close to this whole episode to be rational about this in any way shape or form," Stewart told his audience. "Last night was a good night for me, and not just New York or D.C. or America, but for human people."
He added that bin Laden has give the Arab world a negative image for "too long" and that his death delivered a serious blow to Al Qaeda.
"They have nothing," Stewart said. "Can they still do damage? I'm sure. But we're back, baby."
Jon Stewart Rejoices Over Osama Bin Laden's Death: 'We're Back, Baby' - The Hollywood Reporter

You're wrong the Radical Muslims didn't win because as Jon Stewart pointed out it was Human people and especially the Arab World who won as they now have a chance to move beyond the negative image they didn't ask for because of Bin Laden's actions.

So keep ranting & raving making like an A$$ because if anyone is wrong it's you.

Hey Buddy, there are more than that killed on our roads each and every day but we don't spend trillions trying to teach people how to drive safely. We are walking a road I would rather not go down by following our inbred cousins from down south around the world like a bull in a china shop.

You do have a point about the USA PATRIOT bill, but you're also exaggerating its consequences. For example, some people here in the states seriously thought that President George W. Bush was going to declare martial law so he wouldn't have to leave office. Your critique of the ever increasing police state sounds a little like that.

I neglected to write something I usually remark on when discussing 9/11.

How Canada opened up its airspace for later incoming flights unable to proceed to the US and then further - opened their homes and
families to the displaced.

Canada and the U.S. have always been my "homes" and while different their core belief and intention has always been care of their
"brothers".

I cannot imagine sharing such a huge border with any other nation - it is security paramount in its steadfast and generous practices,
even while receiving so much hassle about its neighbor. I'll always be grateful for my good fortune in knowing both nations.

Sorry for your loss

Involvement in Libya... you're in charge!

You mean like Freedom of Speech? Wasn't Ann Coulture told to watch what she says in Canada or else she could be arrested? Those rights?

PWNED

Closer to martial law... grow up and stop acting like a child. Do you realize how ridiculous you sound when you talk about a police state and martial law in the US?

We gave up nothing. The only difference is longer lines at an airport. That is it. My life has not changed one bit.

Again... sorry for your loss.

What is his point?

Those people that you described... well that is Nick... only he's Canadian. People like Nick simply could not get over that Bush didn't declare martial law and are still holding on to hope that there will be a Police State here. He's a whinning socialist revolutionary wannabe.

We are walking a road I would rather not go down by following our inbred cousins from down south around the world like a bull in a china shop.

Inbred... aren't Nova Scotia and Newfoundland part of Canada? lol

Heck dude... you're leading the way in Libya. Bombing both government AND Rebel forces!

What reputation?

The on e that allowed me to travel anywhere on the planet feeling absolutely safe by being Canadian. Our reputation as a peaceful, peace-keeping nation instead of imperialistic war-mongerers bent on global domination.

Which I am wholeheartedly against!!!! Do you have problems with reading comprehension, did you get past grade 3 or give up after 5 years of trying?

Hmmm, the 4th ammendment is gone, no such thing as illegal wire-taps anymore, your military policing on your own soil, military checkpoints within your own borders (your papers please!!!), etc./etc., and of course RENDITION upon your own citizens. Yeah you didn't give up squat but an extra hour or 2 in the airport.

Sorry for your loss!

In the twentieth century, well over 110,000 soldiers from our tiny population died fighting overseas........in wars in which we made a reputation for being the best warriors available. "Our reputation as a peaceful, peace-keeping nation" exists only in the imaginations of
seriously deluded idiot lefties.

Peace-keepers? LOL! The other great delusion.........where, exactly should we be keeping the peace???

"Imperialistic war-mongers bent on global domination" don't leave the countries they conquer.....the Americans can't WAIT to get out of Iraq.....and Afghanistan.

You are simply making a fool out of yourself.

I've traveled abroad. My parents do all the time. Not a worry, not a peep out of anyone. Sorry.

Our reputation as a peaceful, peace-keeping nation instead of imperialistic war-mongerers bent on global domination.

Peace Keeping? What peace have you kept? Like Rwanda? How did that reputation hold out there?

Peace Keepers have NEVER kept peace when two or one of the combatants was determined to fight. The the UN Peace Keepers step aside and let the slaughter begin. It happened in Rwanda and Yugolslavia and quite a few others.

It's all fun when you are eating crappy food at a check point in Cyprus and thinking your keeping the peace. In reality it is just that the fight is over.

Not a bit. You are Canadian. Your country is not so innocent. You paint all of us Americans in a broad brush so suck it up sunshine. You're involved.

Hmmm, the 4th ammendment is gone,

Now you are just being foolish.

I want to answer but it is just so stupid for you to say that.

no such thing as illegal wire-taps anymore,

Wrong.

your military policing on your own soil, military checkpoints within your own borders (your papers please!!!), etc./etc., and of course RENDITION upon your own citizens.

Ok... I get it. You have no facts so you are simply making things up.

Yeah you didn't give up squat but an extra hour or 2 in the airport.

An hour... tops!

Sorry for your loss!

Get your own material. What are you my lap puppet.

That the PATRIOT bill is a bad piece of legislation.

Why?

WASHINGTON – President Barack Obama said Wednesday he's decided not to release death photos of terrorist Osama bin Laden because their graphic nature could incite violence and create national security risks for the United States.
"There's no doubt we killed Osama bin Laden," the president said in an interview with CBS News, and there was no need to release the photographs or gloat. "There's no need to spike the football," he said.
The president said that for anyone who doesn't believe bin Laden is dead, "we don't think that a photograph in and of itself is going to make any difference."
"There are going to be some folks who deny it. The fact of the matter is you won't see bin Laden walking on this earth again," said Obama.

I wasn't going to look at them anyway. Because I don't want to see a dead body with a hole in the skull so large that there is no longer any eye sockets. Cause that's what it supposedly is.
