I wouldn't worry about it much. The federal NDP routinely puts together an idealistic pie in the sky platform because they know they're not going to get a chance to implement it, and the Liberals will steal their best practical ideas and implement them anyway when they're in government. If they thought they had a chance to do it themselves they'd have put together something more realistic, but this surge in support has caught everybody by surprise, including them. I don't see a formal coalition forming, but the Liberals and the NDP are natural allies to a degree no other parties in the House are, and some of our most productive governments have been just such an alliance.Perhaps this is NOT the time to elect Idiot Jack with his 4 year 70 BILLION dollar new spending regime???
Ya think????
I do, however, think that the secretive, autocratic, contemptuous Mr. Harper has to go, and I don't really care how that happens. He's damaged and dismissed our democratic institutions, and I read contempt of Parliament as contempt of me personally as a voter. I've had enough of him.
