I don't care if you paid a million dollars in taxes. I paid a hell of a lot of taxes last year too. I just don't toss them down like you and say look at me I payed $$$$$$ with an air of arrogance.
The run to the can reference has no bearing on how much your cleaner business or [whatever it is] payed in taxes. It has to do with individuals bitching about the cost of paying for a military. In other words, when Canadian Soldiers spend hour after hour sandbagging or fighting fires I don't hear much whining. But when they're 5000 miles away in a foreign land enforcing a no fly zone for the UN in 30 year old jets the whining is unreal. Perhaps if the whiners had to take a ride in an aging aircraft like a sea king they might have a better understanding of the risk involved.
I know you don't agree with Libya, good for you, that doesn't make the job any less risky.
Where did I complain about spending money on the military in general?
