I'm not really a big Switchfoot fan but this is nice too (and Q&A is really touching)

That was touching. The only "rock" I know is Cale, though. Who else was he talking about?

Kris performing in church is always interesting but it's a different side of him - not necessarily his most interesting side, for me, as a performer - plus, as to patter, I think irreverent Kris beats reverent Kris hands down. But he inspires me with his basic decency and his faith. It's hard not to love him.

I haven't had a chance to watch the show. Hopefully, next week.

I'm really glad that JC made it thru even though I don't think he will go much farther. Those guys who ditched him were mean, unfair, and selfish. I'm really looking forward to the individual performances next week. My favorites so far are the 16 year old boy with red long curly hair, he was in JC's group. And the 19 year old guy with beard who had the melodica thing in his audition. Charles Abram I think.

Hi ross1, Hi missaddicted!!!! :)

Hey, Alley! :)

My computer problems are not totally fixed, missaddicted. I'm on someone else's computer at the moment, actually.

I'm so done with James, lol that whole group should have been sent packing. There were some really good groups tonight though, those 15!'s with the stage mom's were really good. Stage mom's should be seen and not heard. Brett's group was good too and I just wanted to hug that whole group for taking Jaycee in after the other group ditched him. The mean group was good tho I hate to admit that and they lose big points for being ****ty.

Rob gave up before he started, he should have picked a different group.

the girls who stuck it out though the meltdown were good too.

I agree about Melodica guy I still like him Casey I think is this name.

I agree Ross Kris at church isn't at his most interesting but it's church after all, some things should be about church. :) the other rock is Brandon I think. and completely agree Kris is hard not to love....not that you didn't already know that.

Okay, Casey Abrams is really my early favorite. I loved him with his stand-up bass tonight. So cool! I don't see how anybody could say that this guy doesn't have stage presence, even if he's not moving around. His joy of performing was contagious tonight! His eyes lit up when he started to sing. I don't need to see somebody dancing around and all that stuff. A guy with a stand-up bass will be just fine!

If Jacee Badeaux makes it to the voting rounds, he's going to get eaten alive by the Idol stage. Lauren Alaina, at 15, almost looks older than my 28 year-old self (so much makeup! at 15!), but Jacee just looks like a lost little boy on that stage, no matter the quality of his voice. Also, Scotty McCreary seems to know only one song, maybe it would have been good for him to get to know a little bit more about music before going on Idol. I almost hope neither of them are going to make it. Oh, and also, Lauren, please stop pandering to Steven Tyler, it's starting to be creepy.

Phew, no singing from James Durbin tonight, thanks Idol.

Oh, and Carson is a hoot. So entertaining, even if he doesn't have the best voice.

Eeek! Looks like the Archie rumours were correct or close to correct since he's left his management and there seems to be some question over whether he's still with Jive or not. Have you heard anything Capsuleneo? He will probably be better off in the long run (which isn't going to be next week or even next year necessarily) as Jive didn't seem to know how to market him.

IDOL:
There were some really good singers tonight. Loved Casey (DOUBLE BASS FTW!!) and Carson (his energy reminds me a bit of Jacob), Brett and even the meanie Clint, Lauren has a great voice but she is seriously turning me off with her Steven Tyler stalking. #knockitoffLauren that first girl (can't remember your name sorry!) and Ashton. There were others I liked too. So overall a good show. Jaycee picking an Idol song for his solo made me afraid - not going to lie. #Dontdoitkidtherearealotofsongsouttheretochoosefrom. (at least 20!)

The guy Kris is writing with at the moment Nasri Atweh is famous for writing with a singer that's doing very well at the moment (still not sure about him writing with Kris.. lol) Beiber!!! Him and his partner wrote Never Say Never. LOL He also wrote for Alex Lambert.. and... Eva Avila. Eva Avila ? Say Goodbye ? Listening & stats at Last.fm

Yeah, I don't know.. hope they come up with something good.

Ha! Are we the same person?

Ugh, Never Say Never. Scary.

Too bad for Archie. Still, it's hard to know what really went down. He's such a likeable guy, I wish him the best for his future.

Are we the same person?

Sometimes I wonder...hm....

I haven't been able to watch the show (because I'm staying with people who don't watch it). I am, however, not very far from where Pet-A-Palooza is going to take place - unfortunately, a month from now. I hear from my sources there is a gorgeous beach there. (So, take that, all you who scoff at Pet-A-Palooza. Kris knows where to pick his venues.)

I liked Casey ever since I first saw some videos of him a few weeks ago on some Idol blog or other (well, you know the one). But I haven't seen him since then. Anyway, he was my early favorite. But we're not supposed to like Caucasion males who play instruments.(Caucasion males who do not play instruments - fine. They're not hiding behind anything. Well, sometimes they're hiding behind feathers, jewelry, hats, sunglasses, costumes, makeup, and dancers - but not an instrument. Must not play an instrument because that would be, oh, kinda, I don't know, musical, and all. But I digress.) So yeah - he's awesome.

Not unless you have a fondness for pop radio, the Envy and Nickleback, lol. ;) We do tend to agree on a lot though. Have fun tomorrow!! SQUEE !

Ross! good to see you!

LOL - we are in fact two separate people.

Beaches, pets, fun, AND Ryan Star (I'm a fan) what's not to like?

So yeah - he's awesome.

He was excellent tonight, and if you're going to hide behind an instrument a double bass is a smart choice. ;)

As long as it's not B*eber, LOL. I used to have a fondness for pop radio. Now, not so much. Especially since they play some pretty old songs right now, like Madonna's Express Yourself. Oh, it's not Madonna, you say? Lady Gaga? Could have fooled me. I have to admit though that I kind of like Katy Perry's Fireworks, much to my dismay. Not buying it though, nope.

Have fun tomorrow!! SQUEE !

I will!!! Have fun, I mean. Though squeeing is not out of the question either. I'll be discreet, I promise.

Beaches, pets, fun, AND Ryan Star (I'm a fan) what's not to like?

Ooh, Ryan will be there too? He's a good showman that guy. And yeah, there's nothing to dislike in all of that!

LOL - we are in fact two separate people.

Yep, we are, LOL.

Tonight's performance by Jacob Lusk, who sang "God bless the child" was absolutely amazing!!! And another person I'm rooting for had a good performance and that was Casey, who played the bass. That was pretty cool man. And then there's the ladies! Too many good ones to pick a favorite yet!!

What a season!!!

It's true. David Archie has been dropped by Jive 8O.

CapsuleNeo, as a fan of Archie, how do you feel about him and Jive?

missaddicted and SleepinIn, I'm not sure what you guys are squeeing about. Was it anything you talked about here? I'm not following closely enough, probably.

Please remember squeeing is limited to the public from between the hours of 6:00 am to 8:00 pm. Monday through Friday. Squeeing on Sundays is, of course, forbidden. This ordinance will be strictly enforced. -- Per order of the Board of Squee Management

No, don't worry, LOL. It's just that I'm going to see my fav band Hey Rosetta! tonight, which is definitely squee-worthy, even if it falls outside the hours decided by the Board of Squee Management!

I cannot in good conscience endorse this. LOL! That song is driving me crazy!! They play it every 5 minutes - though I do kinda like her new one with Kanye called.. ET.. I know.. Damn that Katy Perry, damn her for her catchy pop songs that won't stay off the radio.

Well, that's the advantage of listening to top 40 radio less than an hour a day, ha. I hear it only once in a while and except of rolling my eyes (like I do with pretty much all the other songs), I actually sing along to it, LOL. Can't stand the Madonna-Gaga song or the Robot-Britney one though.

Have fun, missaddicted!!! Squee all you want. Ha.

I had LOTS of fun! I squee'd a bit, but I mostly smiled a lot!

As for radio, I'm just wondering if Mix104.1 ever got around to playing Alright With Me. I don't listen to that kind of radio station usually - I only started listening when I wanted to hear certian things, last year. The good thing was, I got to know what most of the hits were (listening to that, and Kiss108). The bad thing was, I had to listen to them.

But anyway, I can't listen to all the stuff that station plays (it's not that bad, but I don't need to hear "Breakeven" or "Sex On Fire" for the 9,000th time, really), so is there any way to know if they've played AWM?

Where did Hey, Rosetta! play? Was it a nice venue?

I'm at work and I can't edit for some reason, so I meant Kiss 1 0 8.
