It isn't. It's how you say it and to whom you say it. You are surrounded by Nationalists and anti American boobs.

That's the kind of entertainment that their intelligence or patriotism (oops they don't like that word)allows them .Pack of dogs .

What's with all the cheap anti-Chinese and anti-China (poster who goes by the user name)rhetoric? It's about as irritating as the cliche anti-socialist or anti-capitalist rhetoric of some when they can't come up with any kind of substantial argument?

Who here has ever lived in China? I have, as does China from what he says. That does not mean that we were brainwashed while we lived there. I don't see why I cannot make positive comments about China without necessarily agreeing with the Communist Party. After all, China and the Communist Party are two separate things altogether, and so one can comment on China without commenting on the Party and vice versa.

Also, how does living or having lived in China reduce the value of any criticism of Canada?

Can we all just stop with the cheap shots, the cheap, mindless, mind-numbing anti-socialist, anti-capitalist, anti- Chinese, anti-this and anti-that rhetoric and actually come up with arguments of substance for a change?

I find some of what he posts to be valid.

Very little.....and this defense of the fat fu ck from poland is an example. The prick claims Canadian citizenship, has nothing good to say about Canada and praises China as if it was God's gift to the world.

*cough* bullshiit *cough*

He's wrong no matter how one views the US. We shouldn't jump to their system. And no matter how much someone likes Canada, our system isn't perfect either. Take the national saber rattling out of the picture, and neither system is good enough to sell a country on.

I don't know we can always go back to the good/bad old days prior to 1966 with PSI, Blue Cross, the Sally Ann Hospitals & the various Ontario Hospitals (Woodstock, Orillia etal). Hey aren't those the reasons (not the Sally Ann) we got into OMSIP then OHSIP & finally to the existing programme.

My point exactly.

Until that happens, we can just hold hands and dance in circles.

Both systems have something to offer.

But you said he wasn't wrong about anything, that the only reason anyone disagreed was because we were, oh what did you call us again? Boobs?

Certainly you are wise enough to elaborate, right? ;)

Then ignore him before you blow an artery.

The Canadian system seemed like it was good enough to save your sorry ass.

You've never worked in the hospitality industry, have you. Or at least not long before getting fired for mouthing someone off.

This is how it works(medicare) :by a Pole from Chicago USA

1 the rich don't care, they have a mountain of dollars.
2 the poor get patched up (accidents, emergencies) but no long term care such as cancer treatment
3 the insured middle class - get health care approved by the insurance company, not by doctors
4 the uninsured middle class - get the second mortgage on their houses to pay for medical bills, soon thereafter they go under and are moved to category #2 and thus, indeed, get free medical care, for emergencies only.

Yep, thanx for proving my point though Gh. That was hardly the first time I used the health care system.

But you said he wasn't wrong about anything, that the only reason anyone disagreed was because we were, oh what did you call us again? Boobs?
I can't find the word anything in my post anywhere. Thanx to Gh's comments though, my point is again proven.

I have no idea what it's like in Alberta, but in Ontario, his opinion isn't that far off. I agree with his assertion that Canadians seem to need cradle to grave governing.

To top that off, just the other day, I was discussing how Doctors paid to testify in court cases balance what they say and know about the case, with their Hippocratic Oath. After watching an episode of House. Although I hadn't applied "moral bankruptcy". It could fit.

Joffen: How can you say the American system is better when it's the HMO's making the decisions on whether or not you can have a procedure rather than doctors? I find that incomprehensable! And yes, we have problems in our system - bigs ones too! But you know what? Unlike my girlfriend who lives down there, if I needed a Hysterectomy even if I had to wait for a time, I'd get it. Down there, she just suffers because she can't afford it and doesn't have the insurance she needs to cover the cost.. How is that right?

How is that right? Because it's the American way. If you have enough money, you get what you want. If you have no money, you get what you need. If you're in the middle, you get boned up the ass.

That all depends on why she needs a hysterectomy. If it's seen as elective, I can understand why an insurance company might deny the claim.

But I thought everyone was mandated to have insurance under Obama Care.

Why doesn't your friend have insurance?

Just like Canada.

Hockey palyers get to the MRI's faster then you or I would.
