The fact of the matter is Canada's system will soon be bankrupt. You all know that train is coming. The Ontario government is already talking about cutting services in health care. Can you imagine what that will be like? You all know it will happen soon. The bulk of the baby boomers have not yet reached retirement age! Socialism never works. Never. You are deluded if you think Canada will be the one exception. Anyone who knows about the riots in Europe knows that they have glimpsed into Canada's future. Good luck with that, guys.

hey numbnuts, you haven't answered any questions posed to you. Why is that, too stupid?

What questions were those? Why all the hostility?

Go back and take a look, if the words that have been used are too large for you, let us know and we'll see if we can dumb it down more for you.

So the fact that Canada's health care system has been reforming to a blended system, this is a bad thing? Or a good thing? Or a symptom of impending doom?

Health care is under constant change, constant attempts to improve it. Cutting certain services and rolling them over to private clinics is something many Canadians have seen coming for a long time, and sometimes even haven't noticed. One friend of mine headed into the imagery clinic in the local mall, and puzzled over why it wasn't attached to the hospital. I pointed out it's a private clinic, and she was terribly confused. Apparently so are many people.

We spend far less per capita on health care and we're healthier per capita. Do the math.

I answered all the questions asked of me.

But you didn't bother to counter all of the points addressed to you. Regardless, everyone has their own style of trying to get their point across. Some just don't manage well at it.

Yup, another useless american wannabe..... take advantage of the subsidized Canadian education system then fu cks off to the united sl*ts of america to make money and pay taxes. I'll lay odds that when it comes time to retire you end up back here to suck off a system that you never contributed to. A useless traitor.

imo it needs to be improved faster. I doubt changes will come fast enough to avoid European-style riots.

Do you have links to these "European riots" that pertain to health care?

Not only health care but cuts in all domestic spending. Canadians love their government-controlled health care so much that when the system finally goes bankrupt it will come as a huge shock. Do you really want me to send you a link? I would be happy to.

Send the link showing riots because of health care. Note the plural. You have stated European riots. That's more than one, in more than one Country.

I'm curious what the riots would be like in the US if socialized medicine (ie, everyone gets treated for a broken arm, even if they lack health care), welfare, or public schooling were cut. I doubt US citizens would take an end to all social programs kindly.

Tea Party is the result of Americans getting pissed off about too much government in their lives. America has a different philosophy than Canada-Europe.
