look at the money on the other side of the table too then. You'll see a big discrepancy. It's ridiculous to be on the PC side of a debate that is clearly the bigger financially backed side and still try to push this crap about big oil down our throats. It's just completely ridiculous.

Like I said if you want to ignore facts I present to you then I see no need to go further.

It's pointless.

You have presented facts. You have proven my point more than yours. There are billions of dollars on one side and arguably millions on the other, and that money is kept with people that are put there to discredit the idea anyways. Exxon has also given more than 1.7 million dollars to the alarmists. I don't care who the Koch's are either but the thought that they are out there is a good thing. I'm sure they're better than the rothschilds that fund your BS.

World Food Supply On Edge

Every week I hear from deniers telling me how great it’s going to be when Co2 rise causes agricultural and forest production to skyrocket.
The idea is that increased Co2 will be taken up by plants, and the earth will become an edenic paradise.
If plants are going to start soaking up the extra Co2, now would be a good time. Instead we see the ‘biggest control knob” rising faster than any time over the last 50 million years.
Here’s the opening pararaph from a New York Times piece about global food supplies:

Global grain production will tumble by 63 million metric tons this year, or 2 percent over all, mainly because of weather-related calamities like the Russian heat wave and the floods in Pakistan, the United Nations estimates in its most recent report on the world food supply. The United Nations had previously projected that grain yields would grow 1.2 percent this year.

Empty silo in Russia's grain belt

The article notes that low supplies are taking food prices to levels that sparked violence around the world in 2007 and 08. Now with reserves lower, and demand increased, production must be even higher in the immediate future just to keep up.
As I pointed out in the recent video, “The Co2 is Plant Food Crock”, adding carbon to an environment that is too dry, or too wet, makes absolutely no difference. Blow all the co2 you wish into the Sahara, it will not bloom. Ask the farmers of Pakistan how Co2 helped their crops this summer.

Global warming has been underestimated by HadCRU

Oh boy, get out the tinfoil. Here's one the conspiracy nuts will howl over.

The temperature record that has been showing the lowest anomaly in the recent decades, HadCRU, the dataset managed by the UK's Met Office and the University of East Anglia's Climate Research Unit (CRU), is about to be revised upwards.
Met Office scientists have reviewed the whole sea surface temperature data set between 1850 and 2006 to take account of this bias. A paper has been submitted to the Journal of Geophysical Research which looks in more detail at all the biases in sea-surface temperature measurements from ships and buoys between 1850 and 2006
Apparently, the steadily increasing number of in-situ bouy measurements relative to ship measurements has been introducing a cooling bias. Ship measurements are on average 0.15°C higher than bouy measurements of the same part of the ocean, so as more buoys are deployed, as has been going on since the 1980's, the warming trend has been artificially depressed by perhaps as much as 0.03°C/decade.
From the article:
The problem seems to be related to the way that some ships measure the temperature of the water which leads to the average temperature measured by ships being higher than the average sea surface temperature measured by a thermometer on a buoy. "On average the difference ranges between 0.13°C and 0.18°C," Kennedy told Reporting Climate Science .Com. The scale of this difference across the globe and over the years is sufficient to add a warming of 0.03°C per decade to the HadCRUT surface temperature record.
Also prepare your irony meters as the WUWT crowd complains about a nefarious "data adjustment" that actually brings this record more in line with the satellite record. You know, the record that was the cat's thermal underware (if I may topically adapt a common expression) when it was showing a cooling trend. This is the record of Spencer and Christy, darlings of the denialists, so surely there's no "hiding the decline" going on there, right?
To wit:
Satellite data has reported a bigger increase in sea surface temperatures than in situ data from buoys and ships, according to Met Office scientist John Kennedy. "We suspect that there has been this difference for quite a while. And when we make a correction for the data from buoys we find that the trend from in situ data is much closer to the trend observed by the satellites," explained Kennedy.
"One more nail in that coffin..." right?

See, pointless.

It is pointless. You are a moron. There is nothing balanced or unbiased about anything you ever say. There have been billions of dollars putting this crap down our throats. Billions. You try to act like the one dollar in every ten that goes towards the other side is proof of a conspiracy. The only conspiracy is for the PC view of GW that big business is behind and funding. If you aren't reasonable enough to admit the truth on the matter, whether it's BS or not that GW exists, than nobody can even talk to you because you're so partisan that it makes no sense.

People on this side of the debate are willing to acknowledge things. You are not. You want everything. You want us to believe that even though all of the money from big business is on your side that there is still a conspiracy from big business to screw over your side. You can't have it both ways.

I hate partisan retards. You guys are so annoying. Get a freakin' life. You try to make it sound like the other side of every debate is made up of evil people that don't really believe they are right and only want to be right to screw over the planet. It's so immature and pathetic. The evil people in the world, undoubted evil people, that you can prove with documents and a unbiased world view, the international banking elite and ruling class, are on YOUR side of this debate. I'm still not even saying that makes you wrong. I'm only saying that I don't trust your science. You are such a pen is face that you can't even admit that there are legitimate scientists that disagree with your agenda. That's how pathetic you are. It's all or nothing for you. That's why you won't convince anyone. That's why you haven't convinced anyone.

Not to mention that you are dead a$$ wrong.

Only those who agree with you are reasonable? Everyone else is partisan?

Of course it exists. The debate is about the cause. If you can't admit that it exists, then it's you who is being unreasonable. Pick any metric you like which is indicative: ocean heat content, global average surface temperature, mean sea level, glacier mass balance, specific humidity.

Only it's not just one indicator, it's all of them, and more. The stratosphere is cooling, while the troposphere is waring. The diurnal temperature range is shrinking, and we have measurements from ground instruments and satellites orbiting Earth that confirm a radiative imbalance.

We even have biological indicators:
Responses of spring phenology to climate change

A globally coherent fingerprint of climate change impacts across natural systems

But you subscribe to some conspiracy theory that all science is sorted out before hand and controlled by big banks and corporations...there's no reasoning with that, or even what you would call reasonable.

Who came up with the crazy idea that climates, ocean temps, atmospheric jet streams et al were static and now controlable?

Imposing a forcing isn`t the same thing as control, in fact it`s completely without control.

YouTube - Steven Chu on Renewables and Climate Change

In an address to the National Press Club, Energy Secretary Steven Chu sounded an alarm about America’s slipping technological leadership in the critical strategic area of renewable energy.
China in particular has made a national commitment to leadership in renewable energy technologies. Unlike the US, China has a Renewable Energy Standard, a goal for a percentage of power to be produced by solar, wind, and other sustainable means.
They expect to exceed the 15 percent goal, and may be producing as much as 20 percent of their energy renewably by 2020, according to Chu.
Renewable energy is, of course, what climate deniers and their fossil fuel funders fear most. For example, Climate Denier Christopher Monckton’s website prominently features a plan to block “insidious” renewable energy standards that would jumpstart US competitiveness.

This kind of organized, paranoid ignorance is good news for China, but bad news for the US, and for the planet in the long run.

Representative Jay Inslee recently made this point emphatically in an interview on Fox News.

A DOE press release highlighted several crucial technologies where the United States must innovate or risk falling far behind.

Global Warming? Very confusing question.

The Washington Post

The Arctic ocean is warming up, icebergs are growing scarcer and in some
places the seals are finding the water too hot, according to a report to
the Commerce Department yesterday from Consulafft, at Bergen, Norway.
Reports from fishermen, seal hunters and explorers all point to a radical
change in climate conditions and hitherto unheard-of temperatures in the
Arctic zone. Exploration expeditions report that scarcely any ice has been
met as far north as 81 degrees 29 minutes. Soundings to a depth of 3,100
meters showed the gulf stream still very warm. Great masses of ice have been
replaced by moraines of earth and stones, the report continued, while at
many points well known glaciers have entirely disappeared.

Very few seals and no white fish are found in the eastern Arctic, while vast
shoals of herring and smelts which have never before ventured so far north,
are being encountered in the old seal fishing grounds. Within a few years it
is predicted that due to the ice melt the sea will rise and make most
coastal cities uninhabitable.

Meanwhile, Russian permafrost is melting rapidly, creating large lakes where there were none before, and wreaking havoc as Russian society which was built upon the permafrost begins to understand the difficulties that climate change is bringing to their door steps.

Methane levels in the atmosphere continued to increase in 2009, and probably in the current year as well.

Watt's, always good for a good cherry picking laugh.

Imagine, if it was observed to be bad then, look where we went since.

Watt's up with that?

Here is the Craig's List job description:

Massey Energy Seeks CEO

Date: 2010-12-06, 5:33PM EST
Reply to: job-a32nw-2098801382@craigslist.org [Errors when replying to ads?]

Massey Energy seeks a new Chief Executive Officer to carry on its important work destroying the environment and jeopardizing the health and safety of its employees. This position will oversee all Massey Energy operations (but don't worry - stringent or really any oversight is not a corporate priority).

Key responsibilities:
-Ducking responsibility for grave accidents and enthusiastically (and with a straight face) shifting the blame to government agencies created to prevent such incidents.
-Denying climate change, hating the environment and hating anyone who might enjoy the environment.
-Trading campaign cash for congressional favor.
-Threatening members of the media.
-Personally persuading workers to abandon union organizing.

Other qualities of a successful candidate:
-Inattention to detail.
-A really, really, really short fuse.
-Love of vacationing with judicial and political figures responsible for decisions/rulings regarding Massey.
-Ability to whine in high stress work environments, despite media criticism.
-General flagrant disregard for miner safety a plus.

Outside of the purview of the position:
-Addressing safety violations (The Upper Big Branch mine has been cited for 1,342 safety violations since 2005 – whatevs.)
-Reporting accidents (Massey Energy did not report more than 20 accidents at the explosive mine for two years before the explosion.)

Must be comfortable in office dress code, camouflage.

Salary is $17.8 million, the highest in the coal industry, and can be expected to double from one calendar year to the next. Bonuses frequentlyawarded for absolutely no reason at all.

This is a full time permanent position and will not be eliminated like other Massey Energy jobs as the company increases reliance on mountaintop removal coal mining, which in addition to destroying West Virginian’s livelihoods and communities, has the added benefit of destroying mountains, valleys and waterways.
