Surely she's smart enough to understand that you can't do that.
Well, as long as the printer says it's okay, then I change my opinion. It's perfectly acceptable, and all the more power to her.

But in a telephone interview with CBC's Power & Politics with Evan Solomon on Wednesday, Guergis said her office follows all guidelines and procedural requirements on the mail-out pamphlets, known as householders. She said the printing service has contacted her office to highlight mistakes or suggested changes in previous flyers.
"We have always complied, and [the printing service had no concerns] in this case in any way," she said.

Just because she's within the official regulations doesn't mean she's exempt for being chastised for showing poor taste. There's no official sanctions that she is facing, just people chiding her for poor judgement.
This is great we have a member of Parliament who uses the occasion of Remembrance Day
to mail out personal political polling information. This is not appropriate, and in fact it is really
tacky. Imagine using the images of respect to promote your own election cause on the backs
of dead men and women who really did something for our country unlike her of course.
This woman is a waste of space, and someone mentioned her husband, now there is a case
of what happens when a single cell mind implodes.
Sometimes people can point and say it is not illegal, which I still wonder about but there
are some things that even if they are not illegal, you just don't behave that way. There is
something about being civil. What she did disgusts me, she is lower than a snakes belly
in my opinion
