Did any of you notice the cop and the girl made a "contract" in which she screwed herself?
I didn't, but I would like to.
What did I miss.
Did any of you notice the cop and the girl made a "contract" in which she screwed herself?
And he over reacted - They ( All Offiers, Soldiers,Security Staff etc)were all briefed about being videod etc and not to be sucked into something that makes the Police come of as asses - To be watchful for these types of encounters -He blew it - Literally - No pun intended.Interseting video, still doesn't change the fact that blowing bubbles at someone is still a criminal offense.
Now here is an officer that embarrassses other officers - Needs more training in dealing with the public
Toronto's 'Officer Bubbles' gains web notoriety - thestar.com
He's now known as “Officer Bubbles.”

Courtney Winkels blows bubbles during the G20 summit on June 27, 2010, in front of police officers, including Const. Adam Josephs, who is now known as "Officer Bubbles."
Const. Adam Josephs has gained considerable notoriety after being caught on tape threatening to arrest a G20 protester for blowing bubbles.
Any unwanted or unlawful contact, with any substance, from water to spit, chemicals such as soap to perfume, is assault under the criminal, full stop. If you want the exact sections, let me know, I'll provide them.
If you can't wrap your heads around that, I pity you. The Officer was doing his job, within the bounds of the law.
I just wonder how they would feel wearing the badge and having someone stand right in front of them and start blowing bubbles in their face. The girl knew exactly what she was doing. She wanted to p*** them off and get some good footage for the INet.
Those ten good cops might say something to the effect of: "Miss, will you please stop blowing bubbles for a moment?" ... then go into the growly bear act if she persisted. Respect goes both ways.

Did he feel the female Police Officer was not able to handle bubbles -
Did any of you notice the cop and the girl made a "contract" in which she screwed herself?
It didn't look to me like she was blowing bubbles in their faces. Looked to me like she was blowing them downward and between them.C'mon...she was blowing bubbles right in their face. Surely they are not harmful but her intent was obviously to antagonize and start trouble. I did not see them beating her.
That cop sounds just like people from Minnesota.
It didn't look to me like she was blowing bubbles in their faces. Looked to me like she was blowing them downward and between them.
Perhaps those poor TO cops might need a course in bubble defense.
This Goat-Rodeo should never have taken place in a major city. This is just
plain ugly all around, and should have not been staged in Toronto or any other
place exposed to the public.
The huge chips on the shoulders of both sides of this situation are plainly
visible. I've said from day 1 that this should have taken place on a base like
CFB Cold Lake or someplace similar.
The people with children in that crowd are just plain insane. The fact that people
can not be out on the streets in their own home town during the day without me
thinking they're insane....is pretty crazy in itself. With their children, I mean.
Politicians. What more did you expect.
"You are hereby sentenced to 3 months for 'assault by bubble' ". I can hear what the judge will be saying, "guilty. you are fined $5 for public mischief. suspended".
No bluddy wonder cops are losing respect and confidence of citizens.
Like I said, the female officer was smiling. That indicates that she didn't perceive a threat. Or at least didn't perceive the same depth of seriousness threat as the bigmouth cop with the attitude.Strange that. While I've come across police officers that have been a little sharp in their choice of words, I've found that if I ignore it, they do calm down and can even be friendly. Now I agree that those cops that show a sharp tongue from the start are not very professional and if the civilian responds to it, that cop is likely to raise the ante, and then we could say the cop asked for it to a degree. There are bad apples in every bunch. I'm just saying though that it does go both ways. That cop could have ignored the situation and who knows, maybe that would have been the way to go. But to be fair, we still have to acknowledge that that girl was not helping matters. Neither side was particularly professional here, but we can't put all the blame on the cops.
What is the velocity of one of these deadly missiles? The speed of a drunken snail? They aren't exactly tough to dodge.

It was an immense abuse of authority and immense lack of good judgement.
Granted.... The protesters let themselves be known long before the Summit. The protesters wanted propaganda. The protesters got it. Funny how the Evening News never carried any stories of cops with posies in their lapels. Why the warrior stance when a smile and wave-off could have won some friends.Bubbles or no Bubbles...
These G8-G20 protesters are getting into exactly what they want to. They raise hell or block traffic and pretty much make a nuisance of themselves for the cameras. They run around with cameras filming police actions and are "simply shocked" to find the cops filming them! Standing directly in front of a cop and blowing bubbles into his/her face is not a normal activity. If you think it is please walk up to your local police officer on the street and see his reaction. Perhaps walk up to someone at a bar and just stand there and blow bubbles in their face for no reason and see their reaction.
I watched the long video, I am not sure if you all did. Seeing a guy yell out in the street...
"Where are your arrest warrants! Where are your warrants!"
...please. What kind of logic is that?
And Miss Piggy the lawyer. Geez.
With that said... I would like to kiss Miss Bubbles belly for a little bit. She's cute.
Ohhhh.... I don't know about that. She may have not felt threatened but I don't she was happy. Many a times I've seen someone grin before they take action...like a punch for example.
Do you think the female cop was enjoying Miss Bubbles action?
ORDER! WE WILL HAVE ORDER HERE!![]()

"It wasn't that they pushed the troublemakers back into the woodwork.... It was in the way they delighted in the push...."
Now, even Mom is appalled....
ORDER I SAY!
Joking a bit. I hear you but these are professional protesters. They get out there during these meetings and do this all the time. And if there aren't any cops around they smash windows until they get noticed. I doubt the hearts and minds are going to be won over by the police with these folks.
I am the first one to come out against a D*** head cop who enjoys his authority and abuses his authority over the common man or woman. I've seen it enough. I watched a cop at a 4th of July parade yell at a guy in front of his wife and two kids for parking the wrong way on a street. He did not say please move your car, he said...
"Get back in your car and get the hell out of here!"
...just like that. It was infuriating to see that. I cannot stand that type of abuse. I do not blindly support police.
