although the incident was stupid and ugly on bertuzzi's part, I agree that the majority of moore's injuries were
caused by the dog pile, which by the way included bertuzzi.
Moore is now milking it for all its worth, he was not an
elite player, not even a very good player, and colorado
traded him a year or so after the incident, as they would
not have had him on their team anyway. I know that it really
doesn't matter what level the player is, but so many people
said that incident ended his career, well it didn't, he just
wasn't good enough, and I believe he was studying to be a
lawyer at the time, which he probably is now, and that is
the direction he was going at the time, 'out of hockey', and
into the world of law. His brother dominic is the good player,
although he has been traded many times, but he now plays for montreal
and does quite well.
No one wants to see anyone get injured seriously, and the
McSorely incident was sickening, he must have completely
wigged out, saw that happen, and I was very startled and
found it hard to believe that intentional chasing and
stick swinging actually happened, because in all the years
I have been watching hockey, don't remember anything quite
so bad, although there was that incident years ago where
green got hit badly, I think wayne mackie was involved in
that situation too, forget how it actually happened, but
if I'm remembering correctly, green ended up having to
have a plate put in his head.
