I don't spend money to go to hockey games, I can't afford
it, and if people do spend that kind of money on games and
can't afford it, they are very unwise, but if they can, and
love hockey, so be it, it is their dime, they can spend it
any way they want.
No guarantee going to any big event that one is going to be
thoroughly satisfied when night is over, musical performances, games, whatever. If one wants a guarantee then
they shouldn't go.
I can watch it on TV, and get pay per view, and see all the
games I want. I used to go to one or two games each season,
not any more, and I found when I was there, I had to make
myself stop looking at the big screen, as I was so use to
tv I got stuck watching it, replays etc. Won't buy food
while there, too expensive. It's the game I love, and
the team, don't need all the frills.
By the time we were finished we had spent money on tickets,
return trip on ferry, gas, hotel, food, can't do that any
more.
There are plenty of people who can afford tickets, hence
huge long waiting list for seasons tickets.
It's not a family night out with the kids, for the middle
class,if you want that, go to a giants game.

Before you break your arm trying to pat yourself on the back Avro, the Canuck's problem is a team problem, not just a goaltender or a defense problem although if I were in charge I would trade Luongo and all our defense except Salo and Willie Mitchell for four solid defensemen. I would take a chance with the Goalies we have on injured reserve and in the farm system.
