henrik sedin, sydney crosby, and alex ovetchkin all got

the nomination for the hart trophy.
M V P for the N H L
player considered most valuable to his team, not necessarily the
best player in the NHL.

I wonder, votes are allready suppose to be cast, as it does
not include playoffs, so I would like to be a fly on the
wall, listening to those eastern geeks, who probably don't
know much about sedins at all.

If Crosby gets it, I will understand, he is the man, was a very
valuable player for his team this year, scored 50 goals,
something he has never done before, and dragged that team
along with him, even though they do have some weaknesses.
He is awsome.

Not ovetchkin, when he was injured that team just sailed
right along, didn't even miss him, so although he scores
lots of goals, he isn't the reason the team is at the top,
they have lots of good goal scorers.


I would vote for henrik, as he played great without his
brother, didn't miss a step, won the art ross, with ovetchkin biting at his ankles, and just kept scoring points
in every game, well deserving, the team would have faultered
without him.
He is awsome.

CFL???? That is a league where a bunch of black Americans play American type football with the odd Canadian thrown in. I would stand on my head and watch Australian TV before I would watch the CFL.

Actually, juan, it is the league where a bunch of Americans - of all colors - come up to Canada and learn how to play a game that is not choreographed from beginning to end; where excitement and turn-overs are the norm; where a province with the least population can fill their stadium season after season and even make it to the Grey Cup.

One of the numerous reasons I love the Riders is that their roster includes more non-imports than any other team in the league. We love our Canadian players and the shine on the field.

But to each their own and if you don't like watching, well juan, that is your loss. LOL! :lol::lol::lol::lol:

Looking forward to this series with montreal/washington, but
don't have a clue what will happen, after what montreal did
to washington, but I do think washington had their own
problems in those games, and pittsburgh will be better in
the areas that washington was weak.

Yeah, it does 'again in the end,' depend on goalies at both
ends and of course when a team has 'syd the kid', they have
a big advantage.

Pittsburg must be wondering how they will penetrate that
goal too, after washington couldn't do it.

Pittsburg in my brain, montreal in my heart.

Most people, (so-called experts) seem to give the nod to
chicago in the second round, well, they did finish above
canucks in the standings.

Washington, New Jersey and Buffalo all went 'down', top
3 seeds in the east.

So, whatever happens happens, seasons over, new crazy season
has begun, it's all about momentum, goalkeeping, good
dicipline, lasting power, (and injuries), with a little dash
of luck thrown in.

thats what a team is all about, a group all co operating
with each other to reach the same goal, sometimes one rises
to the occasion, then another, then another, it's not all
about stars, especially in the olympics, he considered
himself 'just' one of the guys, they were the best of the best,
he wasn't expected to carry anyone, they all had the ability
to stand out at one time or another.

He is a wonderful player, very unselfish, and always there
for the 'team', and I notice no one else scored the winning
goal, he did.

He played his part, he was fine, and when the opportunity presented
itself, he grabbed it.

That's what I thought too, talloola. The Habs did look tired but they sure tried hard for most of the game.

The talking heads were going on about why Halak was not doing as well in goal as he did against Washington. When they showed clips from the series, it was clear that Halak was able to see much better playing against them then the Pens who did not give him the open view to the puck. Make sense? Does to me. Hope he can get some rest and come back strong as ever.

In my humble, uninformed opinion, the Penguins looked sharp and played consistently good hockey. I think they deserved to win this game.

So far so good, tallola. Canucks ahead by two points after one period. Luongo seems to be holding his own.
Hope they spend less time in the penalty box and more on the ice for the next two periods - who knows what they could do then.

I'm happy with the score but a few of the penalty calls were really a stretch. That first holding penalty against Vancouver' Edler was a joke.
