First period was exactly what I expected, and luongo was
definitely up to the task, we needed him to do that till
team could settle down, and l.a. back off a little.

That happened, and as the game went on, teams evened out,
and vancouver came out the stronger.

Burrows is out of his play off slump, now he's pumped and
ready to go. lol

glad they have a bit of a rest now till next series.

GO CANUCKS GO

I actually think LA was the better team but was out coached and unlucky a few times-the series was very close.

We saw some great hockey and I'm thankful for it even if the video feed on CBC is a POFS.

Well, L.A. is gone. Who's next? Chicago? I don't think it matters. If Luongo can keep his game at this level, any team will have trouble getting past the Canucks.

if chicago win we will play them
if nashville win and phoenix win we will play phoenix
if nashville win and detroit win we will play detroit

In winning the last three games of this series the Canucks out scored the Kings 17 to 8. It doesn't suggest to me that it was all that close.

with the exception of the earlier part of last night game,
5 on 5 canucks were by far the better team, the special teams brought them to a much more even state, and l.a.
scored all of those power play goals early in the series,
but canucks improved on their penalty kill, and ended that,
so, no I don't agree, in my opinion canucks are the better
team all round.

After the game we went to the local pub for a couple. In our little group the topic of the Canuck's game popped up.........Let's face it we all went there to talk about the game. During our conversation someone said the Canucks don't have any "superstars". I asked what the definition of a "superstar" was. I was told by several people that it was a player who had played for his country in a major tournament. Let me see here D. Sedin, H. Sedin, Sami Salo, Ryan Kestler, Roberto Luongo, P. Dimitra, Mikael Samualson, Alex Burrows deserves to be in this group because he scored thirty five goals. It appears we have a few "superstars".......................;-)

that's very funny, just shows what different people think
when they make statements like that, (they don't).

In the second and third games LA won by scores of 3 - 2 and 5 - 3 respectively. The rest of the scores were 3 - 2, 6 - 4, 7 - 2, and 4 - 2 for Vancouver. It completely escapes me how anyone could think LA was the better team.

Sports has a tendency to bring out the worst in a lot of people. E.G. Robson St. getting smashed up.

Oh, didn't know that, haven't looked at news today, that's
too bad, that particular breed of humans aren't really
hockey fans at all, they just look for an excuse to make
trouble, and hockey 'win or lose' seems to do it for them.

Not recently, sorry to mislead you.

Halak played out of his mind tonight. Maybe one of the greatest goaltending performances of all time.

It would be great to see two Canadian teams in the 2nd round- I'm hoping for Canucks vs. Canadians for the Cup......................a little early yet to start counting the chickens I guess.

Wouldn't that be something. I don't know if it's possible for a goalie to have back to back performances like that but he might have to be even better next game.
