So it's the Canucks and Hawks. Vancouver has to not get trapped in the loosey goosey pond-hockey style game of Chicago. The Hawks love to play scramble.

Halak played out of his mind tonight. Maybe one of the greatest goaltending performances of all time.

I'm scared to even think that montreal might pull it off,
I would be pumped if they did, for two reasons, habs are
my original favourite team, and i'd love to see ovetchkin
'out'.

chicago are a nice team, but not bullet proof, they have had
their slumps this year, and they have to worry about
canucks, and can't be too arrogant about themselves.

The more I've watched them the more I believe there is almost no rhyme or reason to the flow of their game, and that's what gets other teams disjointed. Very unstructured and scrambled play imo. I hope the Canucks can bring their structured game and stick to it and not get caught in the organized confusion.

Their offensive flow is so 'connected' with each other, it's
a pleasure to watch it 'when' it is working to the max.
But, when it isn't working, they don't seem to know how
to be different, so they just keep doing the same till they
snap out of it.
I love the play of jonathan toews, he is a great young all-round player,
voted the best forward in the olympics.

The series should be good, no guarantee canucks will win,
but we will be entertained for sure, and whatever team
comes out of it, will give the 'next' team fits.

I wonder what will happen tomorrow between detroit and
phoenix, detroit really screwed up when they lost the
last game, phoenix will be tough at home in a 7th game.

Too bad Phoenix didn't read your post Tallola, they might have played a better game. Knowing as little as I do about hockey, I still feel that they were outplayed by the Redwings who deserved to win the game simply because they were so much better, don't you think?

Yes I absolutely do think detroit are a better team, but
phoenix is a good defensive team, and if they can hold
a team down till 'they' themselves can get a couple of
goals, (as they did in game 6), then they can hang on and
get the win, not so last night, took a while for detroit to
get that first goal, then quickly a second, then phoenix is
at a definite disadvantage because once they are behind they
have to expose themselves more, and try to score, and that
isn't their strength.

I'm so glad detroit won the series,
I love the way they play, not sure if they can play that
strong for 'four' more wins over san jose, but they will
make a good series out of it, will be good to watch.

I sure can see why you get so excited about hockey, tallola, and I am so glad my neighbor got me interested in the play-offs. Never thought I would be on the edge of my seat, screaming my head, heart racing over anything but Rider's football - boy was I wrong!

Of course, once the CFL games start, hockey will have to take a back seat if there is any overlap in televised games. Meantime, what a grand show.

I think, because montreal won tonight, canuck game will be
on Friday, because they will give HNIC to montreal on
Saturday, (from pittsburg),but that is good, because it was becoming too long of a layoff for canucks, they have to get
going again, keep the momentum.

I think san jose and detroit play thursday night

According to ESPN, Canucks play Saturday and there's no games scheduled for Friday night.

CFL???? That is a league where a bunch of black Americans play American type football with the odd Canadian thrown in. I would stand on my head and watch Australian TV before I would watch the CFL.
