it was time for canucks to have a break-out game like this
one, good for them.

Luongo had a very good game, and the team was solid, and
did their thing and came out with the win.

Now they have to do the same on Sunday, and finish this
series so they can move on, seems simple, but it isn't,
as l.a., at home will come out strong, regroup and go for
it, as they will try very hard to push this to a 7th game.

Good for samuelsson, everything is going in for him lately,
and the other lines played well too, except for burrows,
as he doesn't look quite right, wonder if he has some sort
of injury, he's falling down more than ever, but he did his
part defensively.

canucks 7 kings 2
next game sunday 6 p.m. in l.a.

hmmmm, I have those feelings when I'm playing pool, or
crib, or when out for a long walk, but watching
hockey doesn't ever do that for me.

how about - exhilerating, exciting, frustrating,
exhausting, uplifting, dissapointing, unbelievable,
awful, the best, etc etc etc

lol lol

Over the course of the regular season the Canucks scored more goals than did the LA Kings. The Canucks let in fewer goals during that season. One other thing they did last night was win the fights. Biaksa was hammering people whenever he got the chance like he was making a statement. The Canucks were confident. They took the penalties and they killed the penalties. They played like they knew they could win.. LA didn't know which goalie to put in next. One more game and they can lick their wounds for a day or two and look forward to their next opponent. This team is now ready for the playoffs.

Yep, that game sure got me to questioning my doubts about Luongo being worth the $64 million. Excellent game. Bottom line is you are just not going to find a goalie who is at the top of his game 100% of the time..............as long as it's 4/7 or better I guess he's earning his keep.

You betcha, talloola. As you know, I don't usually watch hockey but a neighbor got me interested in the play-offs and now I am watching the Penguins, Canucks, and Boston.

The Canucks were fabulous last night. They were totally convincing on the ice and I do hope they go on to seal the series on Sunday as I hope the Penguins will do in their series with the Senators.

Go Penguins! Go Canucks! Go Boston.

I have to beg to differ with Pens and Sens, Canadian representation is weak as it is and if the Canucks can't win the Cup another Canadian team would be second best.......................don't you think??????????????

Yeah, they looked tough and ready last night, but l.a. did
have goalie problems, he should have stopped a few of them,
so that really blew the game apart, otherwise it might
have been a nice 4-2 win instead of 7-2, but a win is a win,
and they need to push them hard again tomorrow.

exactly, he has had his problems this year, but right now,
we are glad to have him, he is the man, and I have to give
him credit, because here in vancouver he takes so much
crap and criticizm, and plays anyway, through all of that.
(well, hopefully he doesn't read any of it, which is
probably the truth)
he is a proud man, works harder than all of the other players, he is the first one out to practice and the last
one to leave, and works 'one on one' with his goalie coach
as well, and prepares himself each and every day to do
the best he can. There is no let up in his 'try', but he
isn't a machine, us humans are affected by what life throws
at us, and he gets more 'things' thrown at him, than most,
in more ways than one.

Yes it'll be fast furious and tough from the beginning tomorrow.

Yep, and I think the CAnucks have got the penalty killing at least partly figured out now, not to mention the Kings may still have a few aches and pains from last game. Canucks in 6.

That was a hockey game, 7-2 shows who was in commend. This only happens when the team plays together, passing and converting on every move. If they can play on all remaining games the way they did last night we have hope, for the Stanley Cup.:canada:

Anyone here think shane o'brian was out of line after that
fight in last nights game?
The l.a. coach called him a clown twice in his post game
interview.
I have a tendency to agree with him, because when o'brian
was skating around after the fight with arms raised,
trying to get the crowd into it, I thought he looked
very tacky and dumb, and he probably enraged l.a. team,
and could have created them to come out and play much
better.
I thought about it as though it was the other way around,
and he was not our player but an l.a. player, and we would
have hated him at that moment, BUT many apparantly approved
of his actions, (but only because he is a canuck I'm sure),
so they don't care how he looked.

Maybe I'm just a tad too proper, (I'm not going to change)

lol

I never paid much attention to it, but I guess that's what you can get out of a mixture of youth and feeling of self importance. "Youth" can mean anything up to 40 these days.

Well, L.A. is gone. Who's next? Chicago? I don't think it matters. If Luongo can keep his game at this level, any team will have trouble getting past the Canucks.

The Canucks must play every game like a team, no passes behind if you didn’t know who is there. To convert on each pass is paramount to wining the next round with Chicago.
