A separate thread to bash Christians? Where is the fun in that? I like to bash them whenever they sanctimoniously, self righteously quote the Bible in support of their viewpoint.
BS, you bash them without any provokation at all.

Besides, I also like to bash other religions. I have bashed Hinduism and Islam here as well. Where are separate threads for them?
Sure, but since you haven't as broad a mind as many who have posted in this thread, you missed the point completely. No big surprise there.

But you are right, this won't keep it out of other threads.
Of course not, trolls like you have little more then the common decency gawd gave a dung beetle.

And for all the bile I hold towards religion and especially the judeo-christian ones, I also feel a bit of a hypocrite when I see and admire some of the works done in the communities by religious charities, especially those who don't care what faith those they minister follow (like the Salvation Army).

There is nothing hypocritical about condemning Christianity as a religion, while praising the good works done by Christian individuals or Christian organizations, like Salvation Army.

I myself admire the good works done by Mother Teresa, Jimmy Carter, Bishop Tutu, MLK etc. We also support two little girls in India through World vision, a Christian charity. The money we donate goes to their food, clothing, education etc.

I see no inconsistency in that and also condemning the horrific practices carried out by Christians in the past (medieval witch burnings, persecution of scientists, like Galileo, Crusades, Inquisition etc.).

I respect the selflessness that is integral to some people who follow this creed.
So do I, while condemning the racism, sexism and homophobia and hypocrisy exhibited by many Christian leaders, including the pope.

I sometimes wonder if there is something wrong with me, that I cannot feel the faith(?) of these people, that allows them to be so tolerant, accepting of the flaws of others and good examples to the community at large.
Nothing is the matter with you. While religion makes some people selfless, willing to help other, willing to be charitable to others, it also makes some of them racist, sexist, hateful and homophobic. Christianity is a mixed bag (so is any other religion for that matter).

Likely because I've never offered up a visage of it. But feel free to make it up as you go along. It's pretty much what you do the majority of the time.

Your biased selectivity relative to religion is what is hypocritical. The above quote serves only to attempt some form of personal absolution that you apparently want to represent on this issue.

Peer pressure, family, personal experience, education (or lack thereof) can influence some people to be racist, sexist, hateful and homophobic... Do you condemn those "institutions" as destructive and corrosive elements in the same manner as religion?

Some people will justify anything, so long as they don't have to face reality.

It's a 7 min vid, did you see the guy being run out on a rail?
Ya, the guy with the glasses, that was screaming about the Soggy Bottom Boys being "miscegenated", that was you right?

I see you still haven't gone back to see where you took a wrong turn eh? No big surprise there, you'll just keep on babbling along, blindly and blissfully ignorant.

I'd go farther and suggest that some folks need to fabricate a reality that serves to support their belief that the world is dysfunctional as opposed to the reality that they are the primary dysfunction in an imperfect world.

Nicely put food for deep thought. Awesome, you definitely get a greenie for that!
