Oh I don't know. Keeping his campaign promise in which he promised not to sign a bill until after 5 days?

How easy.

He kept a huge big promise, the granddaddy of promises, of getting health care reform done. He managed to do what presidents have been trying for 100 years (since Teddy Roosevelt) without success. Perhaps he may be forgiven for breaking such an inconsequential promise.

Calling somebody a Republican is name calling? Well, I have been called lot worse here than a Republican.
Yup. Most people don't beat around the bush. You spew loads of rhetoric and epithets about how loathesome cons and reps are then you call someone in particular a rep. There's not a lot of difference there except you haven't the balls to tell anyone upfront.

Add that to the list of many.

A promise is a promise. Waiting five days to fulfill a promise would not have been such a difficult task now would it have?

Why would it be acceptable for people to have no coverage? Insurance is for things that can't be diversified in other ways. The average common man can't risk the cost of a heart transplant any more than he can of his house burning down. I certainly wouldn't want our government to rebuild everyone's uninsured burnt down homes then send out bills that will never get paid. This isn't simply about him taking risks, it's everyone else financing his risk and paying his bills if he can't.

You raise a good point there Kreskin. 99.9% of people want insurance to cover the by pass operation or brain surgery. If the patient had a choice some of them like me would be insured for those emergencies while opting to pay for the sprained wrist or broken finger out of his own pocket. While indubitibly some will benefit by Obama's plan, many others may be at a disadvantage. It's a double edged sword is what it is.

It wouldn't have made the slightest difference. However, its Obama and he really hasn't followed through on many of his promises. Even the easy ones. And this Health Care Bill...he had the votes the day he took office. His own party waffled on it for about a year until they all got a piece of the action.

Hey...when does he sign the Anti-Abortion Executive Orders?

Who is raising premiums?

The Government is going to start extracting $6.7 BILLION ANNUALLY from Insurance Companies. So that means that premiums are going to go up. You don't think the Insurance Industry is going to eat $6.7 Billion do you?

Hey, anyone who's read enough of my posts knows that I'm just as critical of the right as I am of the left.

In addition the government, with the IRS doing the collecting will extract $2.3 Billion from the pharmaceutical industry.

The IRS will also extract $2 Billion from the medical device companies.

Who is going to absorb that cost?

And you'd figure that, worse case scenario, if he changes his mind on a promise because he believed before that it was a good idea and now sincerely believes that it's not, then that might be fair enough, but in that case, he owes it to the people to explain why he's chosen to not fulfill that promise, and then they could decide come next election.

But to just ignore a promise without explaining his reason for it? Right or left, I don't think so.

Join the government plan and forget about about the insurance company. Let all the dudes with deep pockets keep the insurance company plans.

When the companies file their taxes with the IRS it is going to be on their returns. A company sold this many medical devices and the Government will take it's cut via the IRS. It's a whole new way of collecting dough.

That is why the IRS has got what...a 10 Billion increase in funding from the government as of this bill passing?

Why? Because they have to pay for all of this somehow...true? Where else are they going to get the money Kresk?
