Sane people do not spin out crap to make them selves feel superior, or hijack other cultures history or other peoples ideas.
Sane people understand the perimeters of friendliness over dull and demeaning commentary, like “they are WOOSIE “
There is Nothing innocent about that, not funny, just down and out disrespectful!!!!!!

and as for you JLM, what’s a full deck to you? , calling others assholes, when in fact both of you are dead wrong, on your demeanour towards friendliness of sport history from another country?. You want everyone to say nice things about you while you sh!t on them...........THATS NOTHING BUT CRAP

Sane people around the world who see this interaction, on this subject, knows that my deck is complete, while yours, lacks understanding and inclusiveness of unforgettable WORLD sport history. :p

People who are playing with a "full deck" do not jump on people and call them "ignorant" over a remark made in fun and then accuse a person of "sh*tting" on them when they come to the defense of a person who is being abused. Talloola didn't abuse you, she made a tongue in cheek remark (which I could agree with to a degree) on summer Olympics. Talloola loves sports and is very knowledgable about certain ones , so maybe you could get down off your high horse and learn something from her. I'm absolutely positive she meant no serious disrespect toward the Summer Olympics. Yet you think nothing of disrespecting a person. Get over it.

But it is over the top for you and others like you, you know who, to compare with 3 Olympic games Canada has had in the past 100 years, with 2500 year history of sports excellence that brought millions of sport lovers together.

Hardly!

The Olympic Games history is spotty to the point of being ridiculous. The first Olympics had one event and one competitor. There was a 1500 year period where there was no games. It is hardly the illustrious history that you imply.

#juan- I least of all people am an authority on the Olympic, but what you say coincides more closely to the little I know. Did it not all start with one guy delivering a message on foot to a place called Marathon? Correct me if I'm wrong.

The first Olympic marathon was staged but it was inspired by Phidippedies (Link below)

When the idea of a modern Olympics became a reality at the end of the 19th century, the initiators and organizers were looking for a great popularizing event, recalling the ancient glory of Greece. The idea of organizing a marathon race came from Michel Bréal, who wanted the event to feature in the first modern Olympic Games in 1896 in Athens. This idea was heavily supported by Pierre de Coubertin, the founder of the modern Olympics, as well as the Greeks. The Greeks staged a selection race for the Olympic marathon on March 10, 1896 that was won by Charilaos Vasilakos in 3 hours and 18 minutes (with the future winner of the introductory Olympic Games marathon coming in fifth). The winner of the first Olympic Marathon, on April 10, 1896 (a male-only race), was Spiridon "Spiros" Louis, a Greek water-carrier. He won at the Olympics in 2 hours 58 minutes and 50 seconds.

History of the Olympics - Creating the Modern Olympic Games

Hey Juan,
Regardless of any chronological interruption, or how many competitors at the time these games were introduced to the world had, to demean the innocent reason the Games were founded on, is nothing but disrespectful to human history, NOT GREEK HISTORY, human history.
Unfortunately because they did not speak English they are les worthy of memory when in-fact English speaking athletes where also competitors at these games years later as the game became world renown .

One can see the prejudice BUS COMING AND IT FULL.

Nothing woosie about competition on running a marathon of long distances @ 80 and 90 d hot temperatures, these athletes endured the same, if not more than a winter Olympian, when in fact extreme heat dehydrates the human body to levels of almost shat down while competing, and still get GOLD for such stellar endurance.

What’s up with you people, why the word inclusive is such a bad idea???????

Olympian athletes from all nationalities are called Olympians when they can get GOLD under any weather condition , Summer or Winter,

I reiterate, the Summer Olympian has to work harder under extreme heat because of dehydration, that, is fact, NOTHING WOOSIE about that………………….

I am an inclusive person , and I am not interest to get into arguing because I don’t have anything better to do with my life, trust me, I am happy, fully content with my life the way it is structured.

I have the right to defend my heritage as well the Summer Olympians FROM ALL NATIONS who faced extreme heat and still go GOLD.

yeah, I'm not sure of his understanding of the word 'woosie', but mine is a very lighthearted kidding
remark, and if I was needing to lambaste him, I hardly
would of used that innocent little word, there are a few
other words I can think of, but I was not wanting to use
that tone, didn't feel serious about it at all, just having
some fun, where is his sense of humour, and I didn't realize he
was so serious about slamming the winter olympics either, but guess
his whole trend of thought is one of anger and stress, lighten up, the olympics
are here, have some fun.

I watched her down-hill run over and over, it was fantastic,
she was so much better than all the others, smooth and
powerful.

And she is also the most beautiful of all the competitors! She fills out a bikini better and has a more beautiful figure than those scrawny Hollywood actresses or toothpick legged models on Madison Avenue.

yeah,a great looking young woman, with lots of muscle tone,
and strength along with it, a real athlete, not some
weak bony underfed model, who doesn't have a clue how
to look after herself.

I n this case JLM,

I am on record being disrespectful to some, while I am defending thousands of Summer Olympic great athletes, in the history of these great moment of sports unification, interrupted or not during these 2500 years.
fyi, Woosie = person who isn’t physically strong lol

A marathonian, a javelin througher, a boxer, a swimmer, these are not weak athletes performing in extreme summer heat or (woosie people)

Let’s not play with words , “innocent“, yap innocent while we are completely ignoring the fact that humans, have a specific characteristic called feelings, and when one makes jokes on someone else’s expense by innocently knocking them , it makes the guy who is looking for innocent fun look bad and inconsiderate to this characteristic called human feelings.

I had to look up "woosie" and I still don't know what it means. Seems to me it is an innocent enough remark.

I had to ask my kids to tell me what it meant years ago,
when it was said by them every second word. It just
means same as 'chicken', when I was a kid we used to say
'fraidy cat', it has no connection to anything obscene and
it isn't a swear word, it is very innocent, jeesh, can't
believe all the fuss it caused.

The ancient Greeks never had a Winter Olympic Games.

Winter Olympic Games was invented by nations who do exceptionally bad at the REAL Olympic Games - in Summer.

Hmmm, interesting indeed, I read this post and took it,
tongue in cheek, and answered the same.
I suppose one could have a hissy fit over your post, it
seems much more critical of the northern countries than
my little 'fun' comment was, get a life, lighten up.
