George Monbiot is an environmental activist trained in zoology. Clearly he is an educated man, but that does not qualify him as an expert in this debate... His is essentially an opinion and nothing more.

Monbiot's contributions were nothing more than his opinion that he generated through cherry-picking selective data that, on a narrow basis, supports his beliefs... Considering that the self-appointed experts at the UN, NASA, et al have recently been publicly debunked, it's tough to believe any of the now outlandish "facts" that Monbiot relies upon.

And Tonnington would own you in any debate on the subject. So far I have not seen you show one bit of evidence to counter climate change.
Show me any evidence that supports it.. That is if you can find some that hasn't already been unveiled as fraudulent.
That is local weather. It sure isn't global climate.What is this "Local Weather" your referring to? Were having a much cooler than normal winter here in Florida, right now it is 59F deg. outside. The Gulf Stream is about 2 degrees cooler than usual for this time of year. Last week there was one day you could have had cross country skiing in north Florida.Something is not right.
Again, weather is short term instances of what is happening in an area. Your area is Florida, it is not indicative of global climate nor even global weather; it is only a small part of it. All the weather for your small area over long periods of time add up to your local area's climate. All the small areas climates over a long period add up to global climate. Just because Florida is having a cooler winter does not mean the climate for the entire globe is cooler.
It's almost certain to be a better and more accurate opinion than Walter's journalist's opinions. Or don't you think zoology has an interest in climate?

Let's quit arguing and just be more environmentally responsible and enjoy the warmer weather - turn out some lights, walk to the store, hang the clothes outside to dry, and turn the thermostat down 2 degrees.

The threads are loaded with the evidence. You simply refuse to accept it. IOW, it's quite likely that Vancouver could be half underwater, the Arctic could be growing 300' spruce trees, the Amazon would be dried up, the Sahara would be drenched in Monsoons, and you'd still be claiming the globe is cooling. lol

For the record, I think where I am in Florida will be under water by the end of the century. I don't think it is man's doing though, it just will happen and there is nothing we can do to stop it, and doesn't matter what we call it.
