Eight plus years ago some idiots were hoping that GW Bush would get the Republican nomination for President, being absolutely certain that the erudite Al Gore would make mionce meat of county bumpkin GW Bush.

We all know what happened.

Indeed we all know what happened, YJ. Bush ruined the country both economically and internationally. As a result, Republicans had two disastrous elections in a row, a feat unprecedented in US history. All the predictions about Bush turned out to be true.

I would put my money on someone who can deliver a speech of her own words with only five words written on her palm to someone who needs to read someone else's words from a teleprompter.

Quite so. As a passionate, committed Joan of Arc acolyte, no doubt you 'know' that she will win the nomination and then sweep the election in 2012, winning all the 50 states. You have made that prediction already in these forums.

It's nice to see that a single mid term election of a senator can change the course of history.....That...is giving power to the people!

That is not giving power to the people, that is putting so many obstacles, so many hindrances in the path of Congress that nothing gets done.

Any system where the results of a nationwide election are made null and void by an election for a single Senate seat is a deeply flawed system.

She has certainly done that. She can see Russia from Alaska (and in the eyes of her acolytes, that makes her a great expert in foreign policy). You can't have better vision than that.

Exactly. And just imagine the benefits of having her focus that extraordinary vision on the entire U.S.A. to help everyone - left, right, and otherwise - see the great new heights of accomplishment that will be achieved when everyone is working together in harmony. It could go down in history as the greatest era of all.

Where on earth did that happen?

Nowhere.

But he is talking about Senator Scott Brown (R-MA) removing the Super Majority from the US Senate. But he omitted that the Democrats still had one year to get their stuff together and failed. Business as usual, bribes, payoffs...that is all they could do. Even now they can pass whatever they want and simply over ride the filibuster by a change to Senate Rules if the Republicans even decide to use it. The Democrats won't do that because they now they will need it when the tide shifts.

But the Democrats are afraid of their seats now and going to far left means they will get pummeled in November. If a Republican can take a senate seat in Massachusetts they can take them anywhere.

SirJosephPorter opined sarcastically:

He did not have enough knowledge of geography (or just decided to be ignorant) that one actually CAN see Russia from Alaska over the very narrow Behring Strait.

Quite so. A regular Joan of Arc come to earth to rescue her acolytes from distress. Now do you see how appropriate her nickname is?

Sure one can, but how does that make her an expert on foreign policy (except in the eyes of her acolytes)? How was that relevant in answer to a question about foreign policy?

SirJosephPorter made a 180 degree turn from ridiculing Sarah Palin's words about being able to see Russia from Alaska to:

"Sure one can, but how does that make her an expert on foreign policy (except in the eyes of her acolytes). How was that relevant in answer to a question about foreign policy?"

So much for the validity of any and pretty much all his arguments.

He also forgot to mention what makes Obama and Obama's telepromper induced idiocies about foreign policies valid. No mention by SirJosephPorter about how the humiliating apologies by Obama in just about every corner of the world changed the view of the world about the United States. Absolutely no mention how Obama is more qualified to be President than Palin, not only regarding foreign policy or anthing else.

The attacks on Palin and just about every member of her family are surely the sign of desperation. Losing governorships in true blue states, losing Ted Kennedy's seat, the real threat of losing the Senate Majority Leader's (Dirty Harry Reid) seat, the equally real threat of losing Barbara Boxer, Blanche Lincoln, Evan Bayh, Ben Nelson, etc., etc. must be giving liberal progressives nightmares.

Nothing could be more indicative than the vicious personal attacks on anyone and everyone who they perceive to be threat.

They should take out a dictionary and study the meaning of the word: "KARMA".

TenPenny asked SirJosephPorter:

"Can you explain how that happened? What, exactly, happened in a single Senate seat election that nullified a national election?"

Actually something similar happened a few years ago, when Republican turncoat Senator Jim Jeffords of Vermont jumped to the Democrats, giving them the Majority and the despicable tax-cheater and since defeated Tom Dashcle the Senate Majority Leadership.

Try as I might, I can not come up with a single post by SirJosephPorter which would attempt to diminish a turn of events then, as he does now.

All these are talking points for the far right websites, YJ, you are simply parroting what they say (and I do read the far right websites, so I know of what I speak).

But let us have a few predictions from you. You have already predicted that Joan of Arc will sweep all 50 states in 2012 and become the president.

So, how many Senate seats do you think Republicans will win in 2010? Do you see Democrats win even a single senate seat, or do you see Republican sweeping all senate seats?

Also, how many House seats do you expect Republicans to win? 400? 450? 500? How many? You have already predicted that Barney Frank is toast, that he will lose his seat. So do you expect Democrats to win even a single house seat? Or will it be another Republican sweep (similar to the 50 state sweep Joan of Arc is going to achieve)?

You certainly have an amusing, entertaining crystal ball. So what are your predictions? What do the far right websites predict?

Anyone who says that Joan of Arc - who has been dead for centurie - will run in any election is an undisputed, certifiable idiot.

Obama - high tech; uses teleprompter.
Palin - old school, uses Bic pen on hand.

We declare a tie.
Please go on to the second round.

Oh that is just part of Joan of Arc’s down to earth, common folk attitude. She does not use teleprompter, she writes crib notes in the palm of her hand. She is telling school kids, don’t try to copy answers from the internet, it is much simpler to scribble crib notes on the palm of your hand and read them when you are asked a question.

Quite so. Is there a problem with that?
