I was wondering how I would eventually answer this part of your post. Wouldn't it be in your best interest to also give all the Natives an Uzi with lots of clips so they could 'watch your back'?

Perhaps you folks can suggest that.

I think that Haiti holds the secrets to the 911 conspiracy, and that's why the US created this earthquake, and is now taking over the country by armed force. That's what I was told by meguphurts, anyway.

You didn't hear it from me, perhaps you read this article and forgot about it. lol
The Haiti Quake - Where It Came From

That they train constantly for just such disasters.

So the Japanese train constantly for disasters. So I take it they have the air and sealift capacity to reach Haiti.

Please MHz...I know you are pretty upset at what we are doing over there and want to refocus everyone's attention to just being a plain hater. But to say the Japanese should take over there is just plain ridiculous. They just don't have capacity to take on a mission like that, never mind that Haiti is in the Atlantic Ocean.

You're right too. You think I am going to sit back and let haters spew hate without speaking up.

TONS of heavy equipment and supplies are coming. That is what truly makes you mad.

I doubt many snipers are going along but there are lots of guns going to be on the ground protecting supplies from machete weilding thugs. Canada is sending 1,000 troops as well. Do you think they are going with Super Soakers?

I would send snipers to protect the relief workers, the presidential palace and any other government agency that may need protection while servicers are restored.

In desperate times you have no idea what people may be capable of. To send in an unprotected relief force would be beyond naive and downright irresponsible.

Instead of hate filled conspiracy theories perhaps our efforts should be unified to help these people.

It's potatoes (food, water and shelter) - or lack thereof - that is the lion's share of the trouble now. Even tracked vehicles would have a tough go of it through rubble-clogged streets and crumbled mountain roads.
You only need 4wheel drive loaders to make make KM of open road in just one day. Obviously the area would be declared void of life before such work could start.

I've pushed through many a fire break. You're right. It takes time ... and time is running out for a lot of people - hence the desperation and much of the violence and looting.

I asked this once, why is the term looting still being used, at what point does scavenging become a legal way to survive.

It's looting when somebody places a value on the stuff - or when the press wants sensation to sell the story. I haven't seen anyone carrying any big screens or computers though. Personally, I believe if it's done in order to survive then a bit of pilfery serves a justified purpose.

I am just wondering about the US-Canadian Alliance to unsurp Haiti that you mentioned. You know, how Canadians and Americans conspired to keep Haiti under our boot and all that jazz.
