Do you think possibly O.J. brought his problems on himself?

I think OJ was guilty of murdering is wife. It was a great miscarriage of justice that he was acquitted. Anyway, they got him in the end, currently he is serving prison time. So justice prevailed in the end.

Which makes him doubly stupid, he was miles ahead of the game until the stupidity in Vegas.

Tiger Woods has decided not to play golf for a while.

Someone told me a long time ago that visible minorities who fall from a high plateau in their lives the white vultures of the media are there constantly ripping the flesh from their bones where a white hero are always portrayed as the victims in the media.

Just look at O.J. and Michael Jackson and Tiger Woods.

Seems that in the United States of America the south did win the Civil War because Afro-Americans have been persecuted in the media for more than a hundred years and it will not end with Tiger.

Despite the constant drone of 'accepted wisdom' that Tiger should have done the David Letterman thing, gone out there and fessed up, and moved on.. I think this is the best way to handle it.

You cannot overestimate what a cultural icon Tiger has become, and frankly there was too much in his background to try to outrun the storm once that became public knowledge. I expect prurient details are going to be coming out for weeks, if not months.

I think he'll take 3 months off. He'll hunker down and try to save his marriage, but with moving vans outside his mansion, and Elin buying a house in Sweden, that might be futile. It could be she's just had enough. Then he'll go on Oprah, after the brouhaha calms down, and do the Mea Culpa thing.

I wouldn't count Tiger's out, though. He still has the make up of a champion, and frankly all the nonsense of the last few years probably distracted him from reaching his real potential. But a divided family will continue to be a distraction.

But it couldn't be any worse than what he was dealing with before his accident. I'd wager he'll be back in top form to finish off his golf career with all the trophies and accolades he aimed for from the start.

His image will be tarnished for good, but i think he's strong enough that it won't destroy him. But he'll have to do some serious soul searching before that occurs.

Lots of people fool around. Some get away with it and some don't. Either way, life goes on. I can't see the point in babbling an endlessly about it. T. Woods is not a god. He's only a man. Newsmedia and others are simply keeping the wound of the marriage open and blocking it from healing. That's hardly a nice thing to do.

The way it will unfold is this (as it has already started):

Tiger will publicly be the man who wants to repair his marriage and return to the family values guy he has 'always' been. While he makes this tireless effort Elin will be buying the home in Sweden and moving large bank accounts to Switzerland.

Than, after a few months, Tiger will announce that he has tried his best to be there for his family and provide all the possible love to his darling wife Elin. But the media blitz has caused Elin a lot of difficulty and she feels it's better that, although she now completely trusts Tiger (especially after the renegotiated prenuptuals) and considers him to be one of the greatest fathers of all time, she would like to go to Sweden and live away from the spotlight. Her primary concern is for the kids and for Tiger to return to golf and continue to be the most amazing father in the world.

What persecution?? The ones you mentioned are all guilty.

In my opinion, it was a miscarriage of justice in both the cases. The first time he was acquitted of the two murders, when in my opinion he was plainly guilty. He was acquitted by an all black jury.

And just what did he think was going to happen if he came before an all white (or mostly white) jury? Opinion polls indicate that most whites think he is guilty of murder, most blacks don’t.

No doubt this fact weighed on the minds of jurors in the Vegas trial. If OJ did not have the history, I seriously doubt that he would have been convicted in that case. He certainly would not have been given prison sentence.

In my opinion, it was a travesty of justice in both cases, but the two balanced out and at the end of the day, justice was done.

My take on the decision to take a long leave of absence is this ---I believe it is 100% because he doesn't have the nerve to face thepublic right now, so if he gives the story that it is to 'repair' hismarriage, fine, but I do not believe that at all. His life was quiteprivate, his image to the fans etc., perfect, and the fact that everyoneknows what he has done, is devastating to him, more so than how it isaffecting his wife.If it really bothered him about his marriage, and not so much abouthis public image, he would be back in a few weeks. I don't believehis wife gave him any ultimatum, as ultimatums do not work, just athreat to a person as to what will happen if they 'f===k up again, she would not do that, it isn't a cure for the marriage. There is no way this can be fixed by him quitting golf for the sakeof his marriage, golf is his life, and that is what is most importantto him, he still has records to break. If he stays out of golf for at least a year, irrespective of what happens to his marriage, the 'fans' will be excited to hear that he iscoming back, and he will be welcomed with open arms, and I think thatis the plan.He has been cheating for so long, in his own home, totally without anythought of his wife and kids, that is so trashy, so I don't think hehas suddently decided that the marriage is the most important thing inhis life, his career is, and his fans and sponsors, and his future onthe golf course. That is how I see it, just my take on the situation.
