You've spent more time sliding around giving an answer. The job of pompous moron is already taken
I answered it many times but those who have no idea what the award is about keep asking moot questions.

Now if they read up on what the prize stands for then maybe the moot questions will stop because after all, they are pointless.
Sorry if the prize doesnt meet your specifications for being awarded but you didnt make the rules, they did and if you cant grasp that simple bit of fact then your arguments make no sense.

But carry on,when a poster has to rely on insults like you and others have I know I'm not dealing with someone who wants to debate but someone who is grasping at any and all straws to not be proven wrong.

Yup! Chucky Heston was my hero.

Absolutely!

You know his first Civil Rights fight was for the Blacks of the southern US.....way back in the days when that was NOT an acceptable attitude........the Second Amendment was his second fight for justice....against the grain, as it were.... :)

You are making judgment calls that can only mean you don't have a clue about what you speak. I, too, don't care for repeating myself. You've goaded people into scrolling back to see what little sense you've made. Now practice what you preach and scroll back through mine. All you have proven is you don't have an answer.

Again, congratulations on a speculative Nobel Peace Prize. The world has had hope before.

Forget it. It's way over your head....

They awarded their prize under their terms, get over it.
You have no say on who gets nominated, you dont even know what the awards about.

Hitler allmost got it once(he was nominated) so your "its only for peace theory" pretty well got blown out of the water a long time ago.

Between which lines do you read I want a say in who gets nominated or the prize should be awarded as I see fit? When did questioning something become a dispute against it? Perhaps it's time to get off that high horse before you fall off it.

Nobel Peace Prize committee head Thorbjoern Jagland has defended his body's choice of Barack Obama as the 2009 winner. On that last link their is a video of him explaining why the prize was awarded and also a brief history on the award.

So thats from the horses mouth.
Go argue with him about what your version of the award is and get back to me on how it gos.;-)

Nobel Prizes aren't just given to Presidents. His campaign lasted two years and the committee as I understand it is awarding him based on the new hope he has created globally. He could've received this if he wasn't elected.

"We don’t know that Niflmir, no doubt the Committee looked carefully at all the nominations (I remember reading that there were a large number of nominations, more than 200).

This award wasn’t just a whim on somebody’s part. They looked at a large number of nominations and they unanimously gave it to Obama. It is not up to us to second guess the Committee. It is their award, and it is up to them to decide who to give it to."

Seeing how the bar for this once prestigious award has been lowered by giving it to the likes of Arafat, Carter and Gore, who, in his right mind nominate anyone who is not a socialist, semi-Communist, anti-American, knowing that the chances of winning are exactly NIL?

Good chance that that nobody else was nominated. Good chance that not even Obama was nominated.

My dearest YJ,
In his first year, Obama did not start any new wars. For an American president, that's pretty damn good. So, I say, "Congratulations!"
As always,
Your cousin Spade
