If either China or Russia was willing to stand behind Iran, it wouldn't be a problem... lately, it hasn't seemed like they were willing.

However, I do like the presence of the people calling for less gun control calling for more international weapons control. Because, you know, controlling weapons is completely useless.
Yeah, when you have a few that don't want to comply with the control, it's pretty much useless.

*get yo lilly-white ass back here Colpy!*

Well, given the savage reputation Israel has earned, using it`s conventional weapons and no sign of remorse for lose of innocent life or limb using them, one would think those same perpetrators, holding atomic weapons, would light up first on the watch list.
But no.
I guess as long as it`t likely to be an Arab (or Persian) neighbour that suffers from any maniacal act from this overly-protected and retarded child of a nation, all is well in the eyes of the West. Political correctness on a global scale?
 Could it be because Israel simply won't attack a western country and some Muslims HAVE mentioned turning the world into one big caliphate and HAVE taken offense to things that at least one western nation has done?
Yeah, that's a toughie to figure out.

Kind of makes you wonder about the UN when its members thumb their noses at it, huh?

What I do think is that nations should act unilaterally if they are threatened by Iran having nukes.......something like shooting a nutcase out on the street with a rifle.

That you fail to see that this is exactly the same as the police (the unilateral will of the people) coming to take away your guns does not surprise me. It is the mark of the hypocrite that they cannot see their hypocricy, after all. What you are talking about is weapons control, pure and simple.

Agreed. Especially when it is the people who comply the least making the most demands that others comply.

We do have a responsibility to make sure that such terrible devices stay out of the hands of people who would use them. But, much like guns in the hands of peaceful citizens, I think that every nation has the right to peaceable enjoyment of nuclear technologies.

No, this is not a case of hypocrisy.....far from it. Your analogy is more than ridiculous, and I regret having played along in a moment of weak-headedness.

The right to bear arms is an individual right to own and posess personal weapons for the defence of your person and of your liberty.

It has nothing to do with WMD..............
