Just how smart is Obama?

By Clarice Feldman

Just how smart is the President? Famous presidential historian Michael Beschloss, a regular on PBS's Newshour show, says his IQ is "off the charts" and that he is "probably the smartest guy ever to become president," while admitting he doesn't know what his IQ is. I say: let's look at the evidence.

Obama's books

Jack Cashill has expended a great deal of effort at American Thinker to blast holes in the "foundational myth" that President Obama is a "literary genius".

Comparing books attributed to Obama with known undisputed samples of his writings, Cashill has shown that, in fact, Obama is a crappy writer, who, despite a Harvard-educated father, a mother with a PhD, attendance at the best private prep school in Hawaii and degrees from Columbia University and Harvard Law School, never mastered such elemental matters of grammar as the necessary agreement of verbs and nouns in a sentence.

It is nice to see that by implication you are finally admitting that Reagan was a great President:

I did not say that Reagan was a great President YJ, I said that he had communication skills, he could connect with people. That makes him a ‘great communicator’, it does not make him a great president.

As to whether Democrats accomplish anything, that is up to them. But I do know that if they accomplish nothing (like the Republicans) people will throw them out and put Republicans back in. In my opinion, they will be much better off passing a bunch of legislation and then let people rule on their performance at next election.

If they are not going to do anything but sit on their hands for the next two years, what was the point behind winning power? Obama is doing the right thing, he is using his political capital.

What has happened in California could easily happen to all of the United States. Funny no one see to see the comparison of what Obama is doing and what happened to California. If Obama does fail, there is no one to bail out us.

Whether it was his intention or not, Schwarzenegger has used the fiscal crisis to give California a new social contract.

CTV.ca | Dems alone can't deliver Obama health care win

He can't even get support from his own party.

WASHINGTON -- President Barack Obama's push to overhaul health care needs Republican votes, lawmakers from both parties say. Democratic and GOP officials acknowledged Sunday that Obama's ambitious plan would not pass without the aid of a doubtful GOP, whose members are almost united against the White House effort.
"Look, there are not the votes for Democrats to do this just on our side of the aisle," said Sen. Kent Conrad, D-N.D., the chairman of the budget committee.

The more I read about this, the more I think Crowley should sue Gates and Obama.

"In his written police report, Crowley said Gates became angry when he told him he was investigating a report of a break-in, then yelled at him and called him a racist."

The Cambridge Police has issued a statement saying that this issue is FAR from closed. On the other hand Gates and Obama want to "move on" and put this issue behind them. In fact Both Sgt. Crowley and Gates have been invited to the White House!

Prof. Gates has made a living from this type of behavoir. There are many witnesses that said Crowley just asked Gates for some ID and Gates flipped out about his rights being violated. What Gates did was exactly what he fights against...profiling. He stereotyped officer Crowley as a racist cop when in fact Crowley gives talks on bettering racial relations.

Cambridge Mass is the most liberal of all Massachusettes cities. The extends right to the police force. In fact they Cambridge Police affimative action extends not only to minorities but to GLBT (gay...etc) people.

Gates thought he saw an opportunity and it has now backfired.

The mayor is his boss and she it is closed.

She can say whatever she wants. She cannot stop Crowley from taking legal action against Gates, Obama and even herself (which he should do). The best thing that all these racists could do is apologize to Crowley and the entire CPD and then shut the hell up.

I think that is what they are doing. It is only the left loonies that keep up the racist crap and of course, most hide behind anonymity.

This is just another type of "Left Wing Liberal" I refer to when I make the comment. How this idiot got his own show on HBO is anyone's guess. Another bad comic who thinks he knows better.

Newsmax.com - Bill Maher: U.S. Stupid If It Can Elect Sarah Palin

Lactomangulation

You may not like him ironsides, but he is very popular. That is how he got his show on HBO. If he did not bring in the audience, he will be canceled tomorrow. Same as any comic of the right, I assume.

Anyway, ironsides, I do agree with Maher in this one. In any other country, somebody like Palin will be laughed out of stage; he will be the object of ridicule to no small extent.

We had our version of Sarah Palin a few years ago, leader of the Alliance Party, Stockwell Day. He was a Fundamentalist Christian (he is still in Harper cabinet), same as Palin.

Liberals had a field day with him. When Alliance adopted a plank in their party platform (the Alliance party was largely patterned after your Republican party) that citizens could initiate referendum with a ridiculously small number of signatures (200,000 or so), a TV personality, Rick Mercer gathered 200,000 signatures on line for an initiative to change Stockwell Day’s name to Doris Day.

He was an object of ridicule, object of satire for the whole time he was Alliance leader. So the fact that Palin has a realistic chance of getting elected as President in USA says volumes about USA. A similar leader would not survive five minutes in any other country.

So in this respect I agree with Maher.

Isn't it funny how the tide turned on this one!

Two days ago Gates was going to reap a windfall profit. Now he is trying vainly to bury this as he knows he was wrong.

Cannuck is right...the mayor cannot stop Crowley for going after Gates for the racist comments and defamation of character.

One thing you should all know was that there was a movement in Cambridge to take all guns away from the Cambridge Police and make Cambridge a gun free city. That is how loony they are.

We've Figured Him Out

By Ben Stein on 7.24.09 @ 9:45AM
Why is President Barack Obama in such a hurry to get his socialized medicine bill passed?
Because he and his cunning circle realize some basic truths:
The American people in their unimaginable kindness and trust voted for a pig in a poke in 2008. They wanted so much to believe Barack Obama was somehow better and different from other ultra-leftists that they simply took him on faith.
They ignored his anti-white writings in his books. They ignored his quiet acceptance of hysterical anti-American diatribes by his minister, Jeremiah Wright.
They ignored his refusal to explain years at a time of his life as a student. They ignored his ultra-left record as a "community organizer," Illinois state legislator, and Senator.
The American people ignored his total zero of an academic record as a student and teacher, his complete lack of scholarship when he was being touted as a scholar.
Now, the American people are starting to wake up to the truth. Barack Obama is a super likeable super leftist, not a fan of this country, way, way too cozy with the terrorist leaders in the Middle East, way beyond naïveté, all the way into active destruction of our interests and our allies and our future.
The American people have already awakened to the truth that the stimulus bill -- a great idea in theory -- was really an immense bribe to Democrat interest groups, and in no way an effort to help all Americans.
Now, Americans are waking up to the truth that ObamaCare basically means that every time you are sick or injured, you will have a clerk from the Department of Motor Vehicles telling your doctor what he can and cannot do.
The American people already know that Mr. Obama's plan to lower health costs while expanding coverage and bureaucracy is a myth, a promise of something that never was and never will be -- a bureaucracy lowering costs in a free society. Either the costs go up or the free society goes away.
These are perilous times. Mrs. Hillary Clinton, our Secretary of State, has given Iran the go-ahead to have nuclear weapons, an unqualified betrayal of the nation. Now, we face a devastating loss of freedom at home in health care. It will be joined by controls on our lives to "protect us" from global warming, itself largely a fraud if believed to be caused by man.
Mr. Obama knows Americans are getting wise and will stop him if he delays at all in taking away our freedoms.
There is his urgency and our opportunity. Once freedom is lost, America is lost. Wake up, beloved America.

Ben Stein is a right wing ideologue, a staunch Republican. HE firmly believes that the universe was created 5000 years ago in six days.

He recently produced a documentary ‘Expelled’, extolling the virtues of Creationism, of Intelligent Design and trashing Evolution (Which according to him is Satan’s tool to corrupt America).

He is a confirmed Obama hater. If he criticizes Obama, then I know that Obama is on the right track. I would be worried if Stein says anything complimentary about Obama.
