When facts are so easily checked these days, I have a hard time understanding why so many are so intent on putting forth myth as fact. Is it because they are lazy or so stuck on themselves that they don't feel that anything they post could be anything but fact.

Myths vs. Reality sexual assault against men - SARP Center - 805.545.8888

Myth: Men can't be sexually assaulted.
Reality: Men are sexually assaulted. Any man can be sexually assaulted regardless of size, strength, appearance, or sexual orientation.

Myth: Men cannot be sexually assaulted by women.
Reality: Although the majority of perpetrators are male, men can also be sexually assaulted by women.

Myth: Erection or ejaculation during a sexual assault means you "really wanted it" or consented to it.
Reality: Erection and ejaculation are physiological responses that may result from mere physical contact or even extreme stress. These responses do not imply that you wanted or enjoyed the assault and do not indicate anything about your sexual orientation. Some rapists are aware how erection and ejaculation can confuse a victim of sexual assault- this motivates them to manipulate their victims to the point of erection or ejaculation to increase their feelings of control and to discourage reporting of the crime.

Let me bump this back up........ sjp..... since you were one of the ones so adamant about men not being able to be raped because they wouldn't be able to get an erection....... no comment on this? Do you have a problem admitting when you're wrong?

I can't picture a woman hiding in the bushes waiting to pounce on and sodomoze an unsuspecting male. Then again, times change. Women are bloody dangerous!

Men can be sexually assaulted and sodomized. As women can do these things just as easily as a man.

That is what I said in one of my posts, said1. A woman can sodomize a man. However, we are talking here of rape in the context of straight, man woman sex. It is very difficult to imagine how that sex can happen without the consent of the man.

Dear Penthouse:

I never, in a million years believed that something like this could happen to me. I was walking to my dorm room......

I don't get it. Could you perhaps explain the context further?

No.... YOU are talking (limiting) things to rape in the context of straight, man woman sex. Reality paints a much broader picture than your sense of only Joey right will admit.

Imagine, if you will, waking from your drunken stupor, naked from the waist down with sore bungholio and a plunger laying beside you. Did you give consent? Since it involves penetration, it can be called rape.

Sure said1. You are talking of sodomizing here. If you see my previous posts, I mention a woman assuming ‘male’ role and raping a man. I was referring to the same thing.

However, we were discussing the normal man woman sex, and whether a woman can rape a man in normal man – woman sex. I don’t see how that can be done. How can a woman physically force a man to have sex with her? It is easy for a man to force the woman to have sex with him, it is easy for him to rape her.

But it is not easy for a woman to rape a man in the man woman sex situation (it can easily be done by sodomizing the man). The situation becomes rather far fetched (e.g. a woman has to tie up the man, then she has to mount him, somehow force him to get an erection, get him to ejaculate etc.).

That is what the argument was about.

I'm still a little lost. What was the argument about again?

She could force him at gunpoint to perform oral sex on her.

That must happen constantly.

Still perpetuating the myth I see....... it's really too bad that you're not as smart as you think you are.
