Ruby Dhalla is a liar. Not only is she a blatant liar, (almost expected in a politician) she is one nasty piece of work. Vicious, vindictive, and bordering on a slave-master, no respect for the law, elitist to the core. According to the Globe and Mail, the carefgivers were forbidden to sit at the same level as their superiors.

Thankfully, The testimony of the lady from Toronto's social agency yesterday (the one who made the "Pinnochio" crack:cool:) fried the psycho-Bitch completely....... Ruby is toast.

Mulroney is scum........when he said he met KHS for "coffee" he PERJURED himself.....he lied under oath.....he did NOT meet KHS for "coffee": he met him to conduct business. I don't understand why no one has put it to him that way.

The slithering snake, the piece of crap..........after all his protestations that he was an "honest man"........enough to make you hurl.

Time to bring back the Stocks......for both of them. A week in the stocks would work wonders for their egos....and be soooo satisfying for the rest of us.

Phuk em. If they do the crime...do the time. Lib or Con. This is not about Liberals vs Conservative, as some would like to believe, but it's about a crooked politician who is about to get a smackdown.

That may have been true - and then this came out:

Yahoo!

Interesting that these nannies have made the same allegations against others too...

I don't think this is so cut and dry.

Yeah....not exactly cut and dried is correct, but I do think Agatha Mason trumps a hired lawyer........and I don't see that two sets of allegations discredits anyone. Caregivers are habitually abused.....they work, after all, for the rich.....

How is this crap going to get them permanent resident status? One would assume they would be risking exactly the opposite......Dhalla is not without power, and the Liberals usually rule in this country.

I think the allegations are true........I thought so when they first came out, and after hearing testimony from Mason, I am sure Ruby is lying through her teeth.

In the 'old days', the politician involved was usually a man, and the whole thing could simply be passed off as a misunderstanding, because usually the person dealing with nannies and caregivers was the woman of the household. This allowed for a nice bit of wiggle room to keep the policitian from being directly implicated.

In this case, it's much harder, because the politician is the woman, and it seems like she is trying to put the responsibility for caregiver/nannies on her brother, but no matter what, in most families, it's the women who deal with this stuff practically, so she can't wiggle out.

I'm off to Tims, going to see if I can find any German busuinessmen with envelopes full of cash.

I think I'll stick to voting for indies until one gets in and starts doing stupid things like party people seem to love doing. Then I'll have to reassess the issue of voting for them.
Um, good luck, TP. :D

Interesting. I'm leaning that way too. Could you imagine if even only 30% of MP's were indies. That would be ore than enough to give parties a run for our votes.

But, Alas, we have too many Liberalmen and True Blew conservatives who'll vote for the party come hell or high waters even if the candidates is a complete doofus. But hey, we like the party colours and the nifty desin on the banner, and the party leader's got a certain hollywood charm, so the candidate must be good, right?

The nanny rep who testified is a Conservative hack

Right on, Liberalman, that's telling them. Yup, we should ask people as soon as they walk through the door what their ideological leanings are, and if they answer wrongly, we kick them out of the court house. Now that would be a great leap forward for justice:roll:

The Conservative party planned this smear

Maybe, maybe not. I agree that those MP's who'd brought the issue up in Parliament were likely trying to win some poticial brownie points by sticking their legislative noses into judicial affairs. So much for division of powers.

As for those MPs who did that, sure, I fully agree with grilling them on that decision. But judge the MP, not the party. To assume that a party member must be a borg is ridiculous. Some are, but not all are.
