Like I said to hubby tonight... most New Years resolutions seem to be a laundry lists of complaints about yourself... lose weight, exercise more, yadda yadda... I decided if I am going to make one, it had better be about more than criticizing myself.

Good thinking Karrie- maybe the best resolution is just to go about trying to live a good healthy life but keeping it to ones self- most others probably don't want to hear about it anyway. I think being in shape and being fit is very important to one's health, BUT it has nothing to do with the value of the person and yet today we hear so many remarks like "She's fat", "he's a slob", which are just hurtful remarks- I know it's a hard prejudice to overcome, but the size and shape of a person is really not important.

When I had my heart attack I weighed 250, I was down to 200 lbs.

Good thinking Karrie- maybe the best resolution is just to go about trying to live a good healthy life but keeping it to ones self- most others probably don't want to hear about it anyway. Women are notorious for 'self criticism', and I'm afraid it's because they soak in
all of the crap from magazines, who don't give a damn for women, they are in
love with making money. It is a very shallow side of life, but seems to have
quite an impact on women's everyday lives.
I agree that how people look physically should never be a part of anyone elses
view of them, and no hurtful remarks should be made, but how do we ever
begin to turn that side of life around, we all have done it, and we all have
heard it.
Maybe we should make a resolution 'not' to ever read or buy those magazines
again, although I haven't, for many years.
How one looks physically or how much one weighs is totally connected to one's
health, not what type of person they are. My concencious efforts to look after
my body, is completely connected to my concerns for my health and fitness,
and lastly, how I look, and, that is only for 'me' ,not for 'others'.
Whien I see others who are very obese, I immediately have a reaction, but
that is a concern for that person's health and well being. It does bother me.
My husband is a good example, as, he could easily be obese, and he isn't a
tall person, and he is italian. I am quite careful how 'he' eats, and the only
reason I can control that, for him, is because he doesn't want to cook or have
anything to do with the kitchen, and never ever complains about food or
anything else, so that makes it easy, but he has NO dicipline, if left on his
own, would eat out everyday, at fast food joints, or, wherever, and couldn't
give a damn if the meals were healthy or not, 'just the taste'.

OK now, back to my pushups, where was I, one thousand and one, one thousand
and two, one----------;-)
OK, better add a resolution to this, as I got way off topic, lets see, 'I wish for
health and happiness and fitness for everyone on canadian content'.

I normally don't make New year resolutions, but this year I've decided I have to lose some weight...

Gawd I wish I'd been at that one. I see that avatar on every post of yours now, and that hint of serious cleavage... 8O Got a full length shot? I now suspect you're not only a beauty, you're a really hot babe.
