Bummer,

The Con's blinked.
It was the right thing to do but it looks like they don't have the stones for it.
Maybe in January.
Trex

I was listening to someone on CBC last night, he said the Cons had shot themselves in the foot announceing a full cut instead of half slashing the fund and carry out the same unfunding in palitable increments. His accessment was that they were terminally stupid and will never make an effective fascist corporate body without expencive external professional management.

OTTAWA–The Conservative government says an incendiary plan to strip political parties of their public financing won't be included in a confidence vote on the fall fiscal update.
Government sources say only tax measures will be part of the ways and means motion that parliamentarians will vote upon on Monday.

Walter the Cons have no balls, they are sh!t disturbers, vindictive pricks, bigots and today they show they have no balls. They blinked on that one and that alone make the f uckers look bad...
We may go back to the polls very soon, and the big f jock is that Harper and his side kick jimmy chose $300 Million for a new election if it goes there verses $30 million to support fellow politicians.. These pricks will f them self in the ear whit their Grand standing, this is the best political extreme fighting in the history of Canada....And guess what Walter the Cons will come out of this with a messed up bloody f face.
Harper called an election based on the fact that desfunctionalety in the house was bad for the Canadian people, look what the f ucker decided to do scream out loud that he and his rat pack are a bunch a f hypocrites………Down with the Cons…………….

The Finance minister tells Canadian workers not to think about strike, and went farther to say to the Canadian worker if you have a job don’t make noise for 2 years your right to strike has been revoked, while some of these workers have voted for the vindictive Cons, and here are a bunch of f ucking thugs doing the opposite. They have a job and the ****ers are making unnecessary noise…… F UCKING hypocritesssssssssssssssssssssssssss.

That's the kind of attitude Canadians need to emulate Socratees especially the young while they might still have a few interest free years left of their lives. I won't endorse any other mainstream Canadian party though, the liberals are just this cycles B-team, they all play in the same league Socratees, the owners always win. Welcome to Casino Canada.

Chicken-Sh*t wannabie Conservatives.... as soon as they're caught on something and as soon as their own actions are about to royally screw them, and as soon as they find out the other parties have a way around their corrupt actions, they make a 180 degree turn in their decisions just enough to cover their asses and attempt to look like the good guys and all innocent.

And on top of all that, because they pulled this little stunt, you can add up a few more days in parliament of the Conservatives wasting everybody's time and tax payer's money when they should have damn well knew they wouldn't get away with this in the first place.

Arse Wankers!

Prax....you could be right, but I don't think so this time. The Conservatives had to have
known what the reaction to this announcement would be, then the next move was to split
the vote (I still don't think he blinked, but just moved to step II in a multi-step plan) in
calling out the Liberals (either put-up or shut-up sort of thing).

If the government is still voted down Monday, the public will not be happy about another
election two months after the last one, and nobody will want to see another minority in
power anytime soon. This might backfire, but it might give the Cons an overwhelming
majority = a win for the Cons. If the Con's lose that election, then someone else deals with
the World economy tanking for the next couple of years will the Con's are the Opposition and
just fundraise for the next couple of years = a win for the Cons.

If the vote on Monday doesn't topple the Government, this'll look REALLY bad for all
the other parties, and splitting the vote would have been a brilliant strategy = a win for the
Cons.

If a coalition Government is formed, if the current Government is toppled on Monday, the
chronic infighting will quickly sicken the Public (with the World economy in the toilet), and
the blame would fall off the Con's shoulders, so next election after than the Conservatives
will steamroll all the other parties = a win for the Con's. The Conservatives would just have
to play the ONLY opposition, blame the coalition of the Bloc, NDP, & Liberals...while
fundraising like they already are doing = a win for the Con's.

I'm not saying that I agree with what I'm seeing, but I'm recognizing it for what it is....and it's
neither unthought-out or cowardly or back-tracking. No matter who wins or what happens,
the Conservatives win, and nothing financial is committed until Obama is in power. Twisted
and Machiavellian, but sort of obvious once you think about it. I could be wrong and probably
am, but right now I don't think so.

Good day to you scratch, just imagion that for an IQ, $300 Million for a new election verses $30 million to keep democracy alive...... :angryfire:

Good Day to you Socrates!!! Boiling it down like you've done makes the Opposition sound
like Somalia Pirates holding the country hostage. "Pay us the 30 Million or you loose 300
Million" as a ransom of our $300 Million in tax dollars another election would cost us...

Good day to you Ron, if the Canadian people are so stupid to except a $300 Million bill for a new election verses $30 million to support democracy, well you may be wrong on that assumption.
The spokesman for the PMO this morning said something very stupid, he said " the Canadian voter finds this to be very undemocratic for the opposition to be complaining and wanting to take the Cons down... What a f loser to be talking for the 57% who did not vote for these rats.....

"We're not anticipating changing our agenda," Kory Teneycke, a top spokesman for Prime Minister Stephen Harper, told CTV television, accusing opposition parties of trying to subvert democracy. F loser

Socrates...I won't even pretend that I know I'm right, 'cuz I really have no Idea....but what
I'm saying does make sense to me. Again, I don't like it, and don't necessarily agree with
the tactics being used by the Conservatives, but I can appreciate it for what it is.

Canada as a country may or may not win in this political game of chicken, but I can
see where the Conservatives are set up to win regardless of which way the wind blows.

If this current Conservative Government gets toppled, and Canada is still a democracy
and has another election in the next seven weeks or so, I think about 20 Million voters
should all pick some independent (not a Lib or Con or Bloc or NDP) and vote him/her
in.

See, even if they made a mistake, which would be rare in their sneaky ways, or they already have all this planned out.... how can any Canadian trust them? They're not straight forward and they're certainly not honest with any of their intentions = no confidence.

I simply do not understand how Canadians can keep sucking up to this tripe and having this soap opera BS go on and on and on, while none of the real issues are dealt with.

Some would say they were dealing with it with these cuts.... but how come no other nation or government has decided to do this and have taken other measures? This was clearly to stir sh*t up and cause further divide in the government.... and then they can point the finger at the other parties and say they didn't work with them, when they clearly made it virtually impossible for them to do so.

As I have been personally saying for some time now, this system of government has run its course and is doomed to fail.... and if we allow it to continue until it actually fails, then we're all going down with it.

Frig, every Canadian should petition or form some kind of organization to speak directly to the Gov. General, the damn Queen or whoever can fix this and tell them we don't want this stupid ass government anymore...... we want a system that works, with people who are willing to actually do the job and do it right, who are going to actually have the country's best interests at play, rather then keeping their dainty little party in power by whatever means.

This government needs one great big overhaul and fix it so that politicians have no other option but to do what the people of Canada expect them to do..... not what they tell us they're going to do.

This Democracy is a farce!

So what do you suggest Ron? the opposition to have no cash to keep them self’s sustainable and give Harper and his Cons a superiority advantage; That is not a way to secure a majority if anything the Cons have just dug a hole that will be difficult to get out of, you know why? Because now the talks between all three other parties the Grits, the NDP and the Block will strategize on a collision and come the right moment the Cons will be removed….

What is Somalia got to do with Canadian Democracy?

SG....it's the ransom aspect that I made the comparison about. Nothing to do with Democracy. I just
don't have an answer Socrates beyond all of Canada not voting for any of these Parties the next time
we're forced to roll the voting dice.

Praxius, I'm not saying I like it, but I'm pointing out what I see. I could be very wrong, and I could
be proven very wrong as early as Monday night, but in a twisted way, this is making sense for the
Conservative Party if not for Canada or anyone else. I'll vote for Socrates the Greek if he'll run as
long as he's an independent. How about yourself?

Well if I ever run, you all know how things will be..... all this current crap will be gotten rid of, all the existing arseholes would be fired and a new and more intuned democratic government would replace the current crap one we have now.

And once it is secured and setup as a stable form of government with better accuracy to meet the needs and wants of Canadians, I would then resign because my job would be complete...... then everything is in the hands of the citizens, while the new politicians have no say other then to do what they are told to do..... and if they don't like it, then they can quit and let someone in who does in to do the job, and they can continue to have their equal input like every other citizen.

The government should be run just like any other job..... the customer comes in and wants something, you then make it happen or loose your business, you don't tell the customer what they want or what they can or can't get because you don't like it..... you do the job or your ass is canned.....

That's the way it should have been all along.

Added:

That way the only way political parties or politicians can fight is to fight for who can do what Canadians want better then the other guy and to have their names and faces up there with other great leaders of this nation and be marked down in Canadian history for doing a damn good job. There wouldn't be any logical way to fight for control of the government, because there wouldn't be any control to fight for.

We have put way too much trust and dependancy to this government and the parties within for far too long to even have any trust in them anymore. They all have squandered it away and made our democracy into a living joke..... therefore all their rights and special treatment should be removed and their positions should be treated no more differently then a part time job at McDonalds.....

Maybe after a while when they work their asses off and earn some trust back, they can get some fancy perks back.

But supporting a party should be nothing more then a vote.... when you have to vote and dish out additional money to keep them going against other parties, that's a capitalistic flaw and needs to be addressed so that everybody with an idea and a chance to make things better can have an opportunity to make things great.... not just the select few rich people who think they know what we want.

Praxius.....run! I'll vote for you or Socrates or his dog at this point, as long as it's
as an independent.

Sounds like the way the wind is blowing, as of right now, a collation would be
the NDP and the Liberals, leaving the Bloc in a support role (I'm sure they'll not
be too happy about that one) away from the decision making process.

It also sounds like the Liberals will have Mr. Dion (not Ignatius) at the helm.

I'm not so sure that I want the Queen through the Governor-General deciding the fate
of my country, and ultimately myself....as far as the nod or go-ahead to form a coalition
of the NDP&Liberals (with a somehow subservient Bloc) or the three of them together
or whatever goes.

Topple the Government on Monday, and the Liberal-NDP-Bloc Party can run as a party
against the Green Party and the Conservative Party and the Praxiux Party. I'll mail you my
$1.95 personally....actually, the cheque is in the mail....yeah....in the mail...
