Hey Lester,

Don't pull the plug.

I had a firefox pop up about that antivirus 2009! It popped up twice while attemtping to go to 1 specific site that firefox said was ok (had the green ring beside it)

freaky deaky I say.

The recommended course of action is not to click on ‘no’ (‘Do you want to download yes/no’), like Ron in Regina did. When you click on ‘no’ you are communicating with the website. You don’t ever want to communicate with the website.

The recommended course of action is to close the screen by clicking on the cross in the upper right hand corner. Here you are not communicating with the rogue website, but it is the Windows which is shutting down the screen.

Alternately, you may close the browser ('File' - 'Exit'); it will ask you if you want to shut down all the tabs, all the windows. Again, it is your browser which does the closing, you are not communicating with the rogue website.

MHz, I think Zan is correct; this remark of yours was totally uncalled for. One of the reasons I signed on to this forum was their stated policy of not permitting any name calling, any personal insults.

I think it is up to all of us to observe the civility, the proper behavior of the debate and not descend into mud slinging, name calling.
MHz, so, another religious hypocrite?

I assume when you say throw it away you destroy the readability and then throw it away.

I cut it in two and throw it away. I don’t know how widely it is known, but the CDs are not made of metal. They are plastic coated with metal. They shatter easily.

I like to microwave them for about 10 seconds. It's spectacular with the lights out, and makes them unreadable.

Maybe this was how you got the virus that you are having issues with in the other thread. Did you perhaps accidentally click on "No" by mistake?:-(
