Taxes are to much, plain and simple.
Liberal bleeding hearts should get lost. If I saved 18 000 per year, I could afford my own health care! And maybe save something too!

CORPORATE TAX
A Corporate Tax assessable at a maximum rate of 35% must be paid annually to the Tax Authorities on the Company's taxable profits. The procedure to calculate such profits is by deducting certain allowed expenses from the total accruable gross income. On average taxes in Mexico are low but that is just because most people in Mexico don't make enough money to be taxed:

My original post was to point out that unemployment stats could be deceiving. Looking at it alone in Mexico it certainly is.
I'll agree with that. On the surface it looks like Mexico has low taxes and Low Unemployment:

The reality is either that people gave up looking or that they are underemployed relative to the US and that most mexicans our too poor to pay taxes.
