Two brewing scandals that could help unseat the liberals.

Then, there's the OTHER boondoggle that is about to break as Admiral Norman's kangaroo trial progresses.
The RCN needs a bare minimum of two supply vessels ... one on each coast (We used to have three ...tow in Halifax to fulfill our NATO commitments and one full time resident of Esquimalt)
Which would you rather pay? $600 million + $500 million = Total 1.1 Billion for two that fully meet spec.
Or
$2 Billion + $2 Billion = $ 4 Billion preliminary estimate (will likely come in at $5-6 Billion when they actually build them)
Well, the first pair is already half way done and the result is outstanding. Why not finish that an save you and I $ BILLIONS of tax money? Because the Liberals have their fix in with buddies.... and they are throwing Admiral Norman (a smart guy and probably not a Liberal) under the bus for doing his job wellbut not dancing to the Liberal tune!
Let's rid ourselves of these arseholes.
Could be because the name of the shipyard isn't French so trudOWE wouldn't know it is in Quebec.

I notice our staunchly loyal Canadian press is giving the SNC scandal the same wall to wall coverage they applied to that dirty stinking rotten conservative Duffey .

And is it not QUITE SAD that our loonie leftist LIE-beral loving news media whores had NOTHING TO SAY about how Conservative

Party PAID BACK the money they believed Duffy had wasted!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

And at the same time LIE-beral loving TWO FACED HYPOCRITES SAID NOTHING about LIE-beral senator MacDonald Harb who wasted WAY MORE MONEY THAN DUFFY EVER DID!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

And NOBODY EVER ASKED HARB ABOUT IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Because LIE-berals are ENTITLED...................................RIGHT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Davie has built a whole lot of warships for Canada over the decades and they are a very capable operation ... one that doesn't have to "tool up" to build another Resolve Class AOR, either.

Official pleading not guilty in contract leak

OTTAWA - A lawyer for the second public official charged over the alleged leak of cabinet secrets related to the $700-million naval shipbuilding contract that is also at the heart of the case against Vice-Admiral Mark Norman says his client plans to plead not guilty.
Lawyer Matthew Day says Matthew Matchett plans to seek a jury trial as his case now moves through the court system following an extensive criminal investigation.
Matchett, who was suspended without pay from his job at Public Services and Procurement Canada in October, is accused of having leaked documents about a shipbuilding contract between the government and Davie Shipbuilding of Quebec in 2015.
That is the same contract for which Norman is alleged to have leaked government secrets, though there has been no indication the two interacted and their cases are being treated separately.
Norman was suspended as the military's second-in-command in January 2017 and charged last year with breach of trust.
He has denied any wrongdoing and his trial is scheduled to begin in August.

Strange strategy to separate the 2 cases, I wonder if they are going to try to use the one to suppress information in the other?

It looks like that's a set&up. The trial precess will tell.

I wonder why Scott Bryson is really gone?
I've heard from several 'in the know' that the little potato didn't want to see one of his ministers dragged before the court to testify and so Scottie was shown the door. Make perfect sense to me.

They are half done and already outstanding.

Thats pretty funny

Thank you Hoid!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You make my point exactly!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

LIE-berals DO NOT INTEND to ever buy weapons of any sort for Cdn military!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

But they are QUITE HAPPY to have naval supply ships that can be sent to disaster areas like Haiti!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

And it for the SAME REASON that LIE-berals quickly completed the De Wolf Arctic Patrol Vessels..............because they are VIRUALLY UNARMED ....................................

and are good only for rescuing stranded Innuit fishermen!!!!!!!

ACTUALLY THE Conservative Harper govt DETERMINED that DAVIE DOES HAVE TO TOOL UP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Firstly because all those ship builders who worked at Davie in the 1950`s and 1960`s are either stuck in rocking chairs or stuck in the ground!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Secondly- current Davie workeers HAVE NO CLUE how to handle the modern electronics that must be installed to covert a HULL into a modern warship!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

One has only to read the instructions on an automobile halogen headlight bulb- telling you DONT TOUCH THE GLASS or your sweat will cause it to over heat and blow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Or read up on how easy it is to build up a static electricity charge in various computerized automobile engine components that will KILL them even as you install them....................

and then multiply the problem by about a thousand to understand the challenges facing modern Davie ship builders!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It aint building the ship that is the problem here - even though the current generation of Cdns has NEVER built anything as big as the BAE type 26 destroyer!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The REAL PROBLEM is the successful installation and then the effective operation of complex AND COSTLY electronics that Cdns HAVE NEVER SEEN BEFORE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

And THE REAL TRAGEDY HERE is that we are arguing about ships that LIE-berals NO INTENTION of ever actually buying anyway!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Norman's lawyer threatens Butts with subpoena

OTTAWA - Vice-Admiral Mark Norman's lawyer is threatening to call Gerald Butts and Privy Council clerk Michael Wernick to testify in open court if they don't produce a series of documents that she says are essential to defend her client.
Lawyer Marie Henein issued the ultimatum during a brief pre-trial hearing this morning even as Butts, who recently resigned as Prime Minister Justin Trudeau's top aide, was testifying before a House of Commons committee on the SNC-Lavalin affair.
Henein told the court that she has been fighting since October for internal communications inside the Prime Minister's Office and the Privy Council Office, which included issuing subpoenas for Trudeau's, Butts's and Wernick's records last month.
Government lawyer Derek Rasmussen responded by saying the requested emails, BlackBerry messages and other documents were ready for Justice Heather Perkins-McVey to review before deciding whether they should be released to Norman's legal team.
Yet Henein nonetheless said she has yet to see a single document and unless they are produced by March 18, she plans to issue subpoenas for Butts, Wernick and other senior officials to take the stand and explain why not.
Norman, who previously served as the military's second-in-command, was charged last year with breach of trust for allegedly leaking government secrets to help a Quebec shipyard with a $700-million naval contract.
He has denied any wrongdoing and his lawyers have accused him of having been a victim of political games by the Trudeau government.

I have a good feeling that by the time Admiral Norman's lawyer Marie Henein - excellent choice BTW - is finished with the Crown's so-called evidence, evasions and withholding of evidence, the Admiral will be exonerated. From everything I've been reading about the pre-trial, she's got the government by the short hairs.

FINISHED??????????????????????

You think this Norman case will ever be finished???????????????????

LIE-berals have already DROPPED some lesser charges for other people who apparently aided Norman..............the statute of limitations had run out!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The ENTIRE Norman biz is well on its way to a MIS-trial!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

LIE-berals are going to let this whole Norman thing DIE of neglect and inaction........................like a stray dog tied to a post and abandoned!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
