I got my info directly from Brain Stewart on the CBC National. Is Brain ever wrong, he's considered an expert in these matters.
If you don't agree with the info, go see him!!

Reality doesn't agree with your claim, regardless of where you got the info from. It's very easy to fact check, but I guess people require websites and journalists to do that for them...whatever happened to critical thought? I saw it on TV so it must be true? Lame.

Well in Ariadne's world that would not be a problem because men would be in burkas.

That's right. Men that have forced women to walk around with big black body bags on their heads should have the tables turned such that women can walk free and watch their husbands stumble around in the dark. I wonder who would be laughing last.

I sure as hell hope Canada never needs help following a tragedy, after all look what horrors we spawn. We have bank robbers, expert cons who can out-swindle people all over the world via the internet, serial killers on the loose, religious cults that use young girls as baby machines & slaves under the guise of religious freedom, gays and lesbians who refuse to go back into the closet. Mustn't forget we booted the aboriginals off most of their lands, hide them off on reservations without a thought of the life stolen from them.

We are a rich country, with a miserable, mean, small minded group that will punish innocents for sins/faults that are not theirs.
Is this the Christian, Muslim or any other religious creed? or just the effect of cults on some ?? By cults just pick one, religious, violent, gun, anti-gay, anti-right wing, anti left wing, anti-socialism, anti-women, anti-men, anti white, black, brown, yellow and I bet if there was a purple skin colour, there would haters for those as well. How arrogant! There but for fortunate circumstances go anyone of us. It seems to me, that to treat others as you would like to be treated is still the best ethical course there is.

So only a certain "group" of men then.

I surely don't want women walking around in burkas. I doubt any men (save maybe a couple) in CanCon want women in burkas either.

Ya, I think most CanCon men would be happy if they all walked around naked.

Speaking of which, I miss the Hump Day Hotty. And what happened to Avro? Is he MIA or on involuntary holiday?

The other side of this story comes from another time, the age of empire building.
Britain and other European countries went in and exploited the resources and
then left without eduction or the the infrastructure required to transcend into a
modern society. Add that to the concept of religion that has stunted the growth
of a people for almost a thousand years.
There is the imbalance of nature that will not support the populations now living
in the region. as for cutting down the trees etc that was done by colonial masters.
The fact is we live in the twenty first century and it is not acceptable to just let the
people of a region starve to death We talk about those people, well the sad fact is
those people could one day be us. If we had the same kind of dry drought and
hot weather as happened in the Dirty Thirties the disaster today would be magnified
a hundred times.
The fact is people are starving to death, little kids and mothers most of them in
fact children themselves. What we have to do is develop a plan for such disasters
by helping to build up the areas where these people live and at least attempt to have
them grow their own food I know its been tried before but we mus redouble our
efforts

And empower women so that thair fathers can't sell them for a goat to a guy who already has three wives and children with them all.
And that if she ends up being married, she has the power and the will to say yes or no to her husband
and that they should learn to use birthcontrol. And if they have done all that and a natural disaster strikes, they could come to us in good faith and say "We made a good effort, please help us".
None of this is happening today.

That's right. Men that have forced women to walk around with big black body bags on their heads should have the tables turned such that women can walk free and watch their husbands stumble around in the dark. I wonder who would be laughing last.
What bothers me is that when they just can't stand each-other anymore, they emmigrate to Canada, and walk around with the big black bodybags over their heads, and they demand us to accept their culture. Well, they had their culture but they moved here.
I was an immigrant once. My first priorities were to assimilite into the society that accepted me, learn the language! not to dress outlandish, learn the customs.
Half of the tellers at my bank wear the hideaous headgear, I think is called a hijab. They may be good people but the signs they are sending out about themselves tells a different story. I just don't like dealing with them.

Wow, to get an idea of this Kathy person, ya's REALLY gotta go here and read.... WOW is about all I've got to say.

JESUS. HIS LIFE AND WORK ON EARTH AND BEYOND

Here's an excerpt

Budgies have relatively short lives. After a few years my pets and I bonded and when they experienced stress I heard about it in my dream. When one very personable bird Bozambo died an agonizing death, I cremated her, and the following night she described her side of the events in my dream. In thirty years I had many budgies. When they died I drove to the park to cremate them. All-together more than a dozen pets, over a dozen trips and each time our final journey to the park unfolded similarly: the dead pet by my side on the front seat telepathically addressing me. In time I realized that the soul body does not immediately depart at death.
