They cheated. It's irrelevant how much they won by.

It is relevant in the fact that the way the Colts played they would have lost the game whether the balls were of the correct pressure or not. There would have been an even bigger outcry - if that is possible considering the legs this story has - should the final score have been much much closer.

But yeah, they cheated and the sad thing is that all this negative attention before the Super Bowl only serves to further tarnish a league all ready dealing with far too many controversies.

Cheaters and liars with a shot at another Super Bowl ring.

Tough time to be a Patriot's fan.

Go Riders!

So I hear that we traded Foley for Emery. Emery had his problems last year, same as Ricky - one too many selfish penalties. Good player if he can play clean.

That contradicts the news report that I heard, that the ball was under inflated. Was it done intentionally?

So the Patriots didn't really have a motive for under inflating the ball?

They must have had a motive, JLM else why bother. That motive from what I understand would be to give the QB an advantage as a deflated ball is apparently easier to handle which makes sense when you think about it, thus he would have a much better chance of completions. Hope that helps.

I think the motive may be to make an aging QB appear to be not as aged. Probably watched the sharks circle in Denver and wanted to keep his youth another year. Of course once can ask how long have they been doing this and maybe this taints all the victories over the years.

How old is Brady, IRBS? Anthony Calvillo was in his very late thirties and still winning Grey Cups. But then, he was an exceptional player. ;-)

Given how everybody loves to sue nowadays, one has to wonder if there will be a class action lawsuit against the NFL and the Pats. That's probably why the NFL wants to bury this.

I guess all that wealth is just wearing him out, eh gopher. ;-)

The Twinkie Cities has two full time sports stations and numerous ex-NFL players have been interviewed about deflated footballs. Every last one of the former players has said that any pro can easily tell whether a ball has been deflated or not. Not one of them believes Shady Brady or Belicheat. All agree that a severe sanction should be imposed by the league on the team.

I've heard exactly the same thing from numerous pro QBs on various sports programs lately, gopher. Sanctions would be good though with the way the NFL commish has been handling other troubling incidents lately, I can only wonder what a balls-up he will make of this situation. Have no faith in him what-so-ever and were heads to roll, his should also be on the block.

Commish and Owner are buds.

Has anyone watched some Richard Sherman news bytes on this? Pretty funny. Google them up.

Not so!

When it comes to a national crisis of this kind, there can only be ONE source for this evil. And we all know what that wicked source is - the subversive, fellow travelling pinko-stinko, socialist-commie-rat-finko, antichrist, hater of America and all that is good in the world and known Universe. And because of that we all say in unison:

BLAME OBAMA!

Speaking of football. Why is the past tense of "to kick" kicked, when everyone pronounces that word kickt not kick-ed? This aspect of the game has always troubled me.
Why is "abbreviation" such a long word? Why are there Ps in pneumonia and psychiatry? Why does the letter C exist at all? Or Q, for that matter?

Because we LIKE f*cking with people!

Wouldn't the alternative for "Q" necessitate the use of two letters, maybe "KW".
