bad game for our Canadian goalie to have a stinker, and also the Canadians could not score.

this doesn't surprise me at all, this team is composed of real good players, but very young,

without some veteran types, who are top players in their own right, but the tournament in September

is keeping most of those players from playing, they don't want to play two world type tournaments.

but its very good experience for these young guys, and next time they go, they will be better, as

when the pressure was on, just a lot of speed, but not much substance. they really do need a better

mix, just not happening.

they need johathan toews, Duncan keith, shea weber,(I think he wanted to come, but couldn't get medical
clearance, was probably a bit banged up from playoffs)seabrook ,dowdy, subban, Jamie benn, Tavares, Giordano,
and other top players, a little bit older, than 'real' young and also experienced, then the team would
have been much better balanced, and a few of the real young ones would 'not' have been there as well.

they might give Sweden a good go, as they don't have their best team there either, should be a good
game, and Canada could win that one, which would put them in the semi finals.

This was there first real test. Finland is clearly on a different level than your Germany's and your France's. It may have been their best game just unable to beat Finland.

Good luck vs. Sweden. Is it win and in and lose and out or can they still make playoffs if they lose?

I think its lose and your out, then the losers of the semi final games will play each other for 3rd place.

Ryan O'Reilly gets Canada on the board late in the 1rst P. End of 1rst and Canada with a 1 - nothing lead.

GOOOOOOOOOOOOO CANADA!!!!!!!!!!!!!

13:53 in the 2nd and Matt Dumba gets us a PP goal.

12:02 in the 2nd - Brad Marchand gets one in the net for Canada for a 3 - 0 lead.

GO CANADA!

12:13 - 11 seconds later.....................Domi makes it 4 - 0

Canada survives a minute 53 of 6 on 3 but fails to find the empty net. 10 minutes left in regular time.

11:55 Mark Stone puts us ahead 5 - zip. Now this is the team I hoped to see turn up today for Canada - must say I was expecting more from Sweden though.

Gallagher finds Brassard in front of the net and it's 6 nothing for Canada.

Off to Moscow for Team Canada!!!!!!!!!!!

If anyone still had doubts about the Canadian's ability they should have been put to rest when Canada played through the minute and 53 seconds of 6 on 3.

They thoroughly routed the Swedes in this quarterfinal. Talbot got his 3rd shut-out of the tournie and every player on Team Canada's roster has a goal now. Canada will play the U.S. in the semi.

Russia will play the Fins - both games will be this Saturday on TSN. Get your game faces on fans.

This is the semi finals. A win today against the USA and we will be guaranteed at least a Silver. And winner will play Finland, loser Russia.

(ETA: answered my own questions).

Austin Matthews gets a PP goal for the U.S. at 18:46 in the 2nd P.

2 - 2 game after U.S. gets one by Talbot in the top of the net with 16:03 left in the 2nd.

11:36 and the U.S. has taken the lead after a beaut of a play by Dylan Larkin.

Canada ties the game at 15:30 on a PP goal from Brossard.

18:26 Ryan Ellis with a bomb puts Canada ahead by 1 in the 3rd.

Nobodies going home here yet................oh dear US will now a PP after a penalty to Mark Scheifele for goalie interference.

49 seconds to go - US pull their goalie - face-off in Canada's zone.

Canada will play for Gold!!!!!!!!!!!! Great game by the US - maybe next year.

they played better than the u.s. when they had to, but not all game, they are the better team.

glad the right people noticed how good mcDavid was all thru the games, with 'no' goals, but many

assists, if one watches his

game in detail, he is quite amazing.

can't wait to see him in his man's body in a couple of years, a great skater, and so many players

on that team were good, and Talbot saved the game near the end, but that is what goalies have to

do when the opposition is pushing hard to tie the game.
