Well, perhaps atheists are pompous as Downhome Woman says, perhaps not but can anybody point to anything in history that says atheists caused mass murders, wars, slavery or the persecution of women, the religious or any race? I don't think so. If some atheists seem arrogant for pointing out the failings of the religious, it may be well earned.
