Analysts: More Libyan bloodshed could prompt U.S., NATO intervention

(CNN) -- If the U.S. military were to intervene in an increasingly chaotic Libya, it would most likely be part of a NATO action in which Libyan bloodshed has reached a humanitarian crisis, analysts said Thursday.

As reports emerged Thursday about deadly clashes between leader Moammar Gadhafi's forces and anti-government protesters in the town of Zawiya near Tunisia, analysts highlighted how Gadhafi has already pledged to fight a rebellion to martyrdom.
Military intervention "is something which I hope doesn't happen, but it looks as though at some point that it should happen," said Simon Henderson, senior fellow at the Washington Institute for Near East Policy.

Should the United States and NATO intervene to stop innocent civilians from being slaughtered by Forces and Mercenaries loyal to Gaddafi?

One possible solution is pressure on Libya's neighbors to step in and put a stop to this but that could spiral into an even bigger mess.

It's al Qaeda causing the riots all over the place.
It's possible because a situation like this would feed their agenda but Al Qaeda's not ordering fighter jets and helicopter gunships to launch attacks against innocent civilians..

I wonder if this means that Libya will lose its very important role as a human rights watchdog at the UN?

Al Quida is a fiction. All the actions attributed to them are caused by the CIA and Mossad - at least that is what many believe.

Many retarded people.

Are Libyans asking for outsides to intervene? The coverage on the radio made it sound like Libyans feel they will soon have their revolution, if not in hours, in the coming days. Jumping in when help isn't being asked for sounds like a bad idea to me.

From what I understand Charlie Sheen will have a bit of time on his hands, so him and Gal Pal Sean Penn will be going over for a first hand look.

Reports from the Cities that are no longer under the Wackos control are asking for medical aid and a no fly zone at the least to protect civilians from being massacred by planes/choppers. It would save lives -

For once we finally agree, we do not need another war or attrition, if Gadhafi wins so be it, if the people win they will be the better for it, plus it will be their win. We all should just shut up and stay out of it.

Then we have people like this with a mind set that everything must be the fault of the USA and the CIA. They never will mature enough to cope with this new world that they created whether they know it or not.

What is sad is that every time some really bad **** happens any where in the world - They look to the US - Yet many are often to quick to condemn the same country that has done many things that have impacted the world in a positive way.

They keep saying we should stay out, I would love to see the UN get totally involved without us. (and of course the Libyans turn on them)
