Colorado has travelled the pot path and all is not roses, cops have no sobriety test for pot like they do for booze. Hopefully but doubtful if trudeau will consider real time health issues and the Colorado experience.

If you can indulge the bloody ads a good primer into pot pros and cons.

Being a stoner has nothing to do with the hemp issue directly, indirectly the high part was the part used in the past to get it as banned as it has been for the last 70 years or do. DuPont was not concerned about a few people getting high or using it as a medicine of some sort, they wanted hemp products off the market completely and they succeeded. The replacement was based on oil products and that holds true today if a complete list was compiled.
The problem arises when oil is not available or a move to alternate energy happens and the raw material for the plastic industry goes missing. Even a switch to NG would mess that chain up and the best alternative would be going back to hemp and replacing the list with products based on hemp.
Since there is no hemp industry today that leaves the opportunity to start from the ground up so planting and harvesting and processing that would eventually employ millions if retail sales is counted at the end of 10 years. If you want to go into debt this would be the way to go as there is a return on investments. The building of the base equipment would be in that 10 year plan but the machines should last forever so the final product dept would then become the growth industry. Development would be 'in-house' with citizens being the test market and surplus items then become exportable to such places as China as cabinets for their electronics.

Colorado like Canada is testing devices to give a quick result of drug impairment, that we like colorado are behind the curve is hardly an endorsement for pot. Testing does not equate to an accepted cop shop device also embraced by the judiciary.
What we really need is another product competing with booze for top auto fatality spot but ottawa is bankrupt and desperate times call for desperate measures. Trimming bureaucratic fat is not attuned to sunny ways and far too practical to be politically correct.
