And it will all reappear out of nowhere? Businesses and industry will reopen in a Province where it's just too damn expensive to operate because of a party change?
Why would they set up only to lose money? Confidence isn't going to lower Capital Costs and operation costs.. What is the incentive? Socialist maneuvers?
It wouldn't be all that much too be honest. But we hate them less right now and the opportunity to get rid of some anger would be a good thing. It is time.
But until we have true accountability for and from all governments a change really only amounts to SSDD.
Governments, which are conservative, tend to lower taxes, ease regulations, promote business friendly atmosphere and get out of the way of business.
Nothing will change for another 15 years when the shield is exploited for it's resources. That will mean people will have to do what they should do now. Move to where the work is.
ON can't afford to lower taxes when they are already deep in the hole. It's just digging deeper and it's a Socialist maneuver.
Lower taxes won't lower capital costs one cent.
Even with a strong economy the Ontario provincial debt increased by an additional $20 Billion due to the lost revenue and borrowing required to fund Harris' tax cuts.

Taxes are the revenue. Lower taxes mean lower revenue. You can't tax a business and working class that doesn't exist.
Will people have their taxes lowered too or are they stuck funding the Socialist plan you want?
The glory days are gone for good. It's going to take a whole new type of economy to get ON back on it's feet.
