Great point Das.

I watched a documentary on poverty in the Louisiana and students weren't allowed to go to school unless they had a pencil and notebook. This young girl missed a week of school because she didn't have a pencil. I've dropped more pencils behind my desk than they had in their whole house.

The money could be spent better, but it is the corperations who with politicians in their back pocket that run the world and they will not do anything that puts a dent in their wallets.

As well as the special interests groups who spend millions on professional lobbyist to push their agendas.
