Well, Nanaimo is sunny and almost warm this morning. On the five day forcast I think I saw the word "flurries". I'm not sure what it means but I'm sure we will get more nice weather.

Thank Gawd for BC. Otherwise, the Prairies would get sh1tty weather all year long. BC is a great buffer!
Well - Thank God for you then. My sister-in-law in Calgary, constantly whines about how all their bad weather comes from BC!!! However, she constantly whines about everything anyway.

It just started to snow a few minutes ago. Thank God!

Rule of thumb....if you want nice weather, don't live in a place a mile high in altitude.

Quite lovely today isn't Juan!! Took the dog out and was pleasantly surprized at how mild it is. Sun is beautiful. Since the wind blew all the leaves off the trees we can see our view again. Whitecaps on the water but still nice to look at.

No, but we will keep BC separated from Ontario by over 1500 km of flowers, wheat, aspen, sloughs, and buffalo graze!
Your area is not keeping itself out of the news these days. Those big signs saying "Deadmonton" don't go over well. Winterpeg has you beat though.

If all it takes to get rid of the infestation of rich foreign retirees is a little rain then let it come. North Island style where it can rain for a month straight. Bring house prices back down to where they should be and let us get on with earning a living instead of constantly having to deal with some little self interest group that doesn't want any economic activity.
Your naïveté is either charming or astounding.

FYI when it rains hard or gets too cold people who can afford to travel head south for a few months-I suppose your trailer park is as crowded as ever though.

Yep, it's time to pass another law in B.C. if you are a Canadian you are only allowed to spend $500 a month in the U.S. ..................problem solved.

Looks like we have another sunny day today. Fair amount of frost this morning though...:p

This morning, here on the prairie, a fog of ice crystals is steaming of the backs of a sea of bison. Unfortunately the buffalo birds have all migrated or the scene would be perfect.

Juan is quite right and we have those ice crystals as well. It's after 11:00 A.M. and in the shady areas - it's still white from frost. Hubby took the dog out this morning (it's my birthday so he took her this time) so I didn't see the frost then. It's cold out for there. However, the sun shining like it is gives the nice illusion of warmth. No wind out and the ocean is calm.
How close are you to that sea of bison? We used to drive through the buffalo paddocks to show the kids what they looked like. I'm a little nervous of things like bison and horses etc.

happy birthday, yes its a beautiful morning here too, but crispy. I am holding out taking the cats out
in the back yard till that sun comes around there a bit, (its starting to do that now).

it will be very moderate and comfortable all afternoon till the sun sets again, and the temp drops.

have fun on 'your' day.

Thank you Talloola. We are just getting ready to go out for lunch. My husband has to work tonight so we'll celebrate with the family on Friday. Gorgeous blue sky out there but I am looking at a young fellow standing at the bus stop and he's wearing a winter jacket with a hoodie under and the hood is all wrapped around his head. Must be a lot colder than it looks. Or - maybe it's just him. I also just saw a couple about my own age walk by and they were not so bundled and neither was a younger woman walking on the other side of the street. Naw, it's just him. The street in front of our house seems to be a favourite walking area for people. A woman about my age again just walked by with her dog and she's only wearing a hoodie without a winter jacket on top of it.

Happy Birthday VanIsle, celebrate it according to your age.
Thanks JLM. Celebrating on Friday but leaving now for lunch out. I was just outside - can't believe the change a couple of hours makes.
It's a nice balmy (& sunny) 7 degrees right now.

To all the "Islanders" here - wind weather warning up tonight. Hitting Haidai Gwaii first then on down to us.

Sounds to me like typical Novemver Vancouver Island weather. Back in 1969 I spent 6 months working at Head Bay (12 miles south of Tahsis) and we had one stretch of solid rain for 6 days and nights without let up. The pounding on the bunkhouse roof made sleeping at nights next to impossible.

my daughter lived in tahsis for about 8 years, she said she has never seen so much rain, hard rain for
days and days, sure not like that here in the valley.

It's not in your area Talloola nor in mine. It is in Ucluelet though. Just for your info - I went into Save On tonight. They are selling those long - about maybe 7 X 11 Nanaimo Bar Squares for a mere $6.49. I've never seen them so cheap. Good to toss in the freezer for Christmas. You simply can't make them for that and they are really good. If you are coming in before Saturday's end, I'm sure they will still be on sale.

Yep, Ucluelet can be damp at times (worked there lots too) but doesn't hold a candle to Tahsis.
