Last I checked, nobody was killed, beheaded, or crucified for disagreeing with the US.


Really?? 8O and what exactly would you call the acts committed by the "tiger force" in vietnam, otherwise known as the scalping party. Cutting a baby's head off for a necklace is exactly what to you??? Funny innit, how pointing the finger at someone else only gets you three pointing back at yourself.

Trade was increasing anyway...at a higher rate than it has since NAFTA was signed.

What wasn't increasing so fast was the amount of US ownership in Canada and the lack of Canadian-owned head offices employing Canadian people at higher levels. We get to keep the low-level jobs, and NAFTA is used as an excuse to make sure those aren't unionized, but the management positions go south.

One report posted by an Ohio newspaper is hardly documentary evidence, however it should at the very least prompt an investigation.

I don't see it that way...maybe its because of the geography, but...Quebec's GDP went up some 80% over NAFTA...and Ontario lost a lot of its manufacturing jobs and is/has turned into a services economy...

Geez, I think some of the right wingers ought to huff down a joint or two!! A little relaxation might do some good.

A bit irksome, tho, that us lefties are labelled dope smoking Kumbya types! I don't smoke dope ... although having a partner with MS I support its use. Have seen the benefits first hand. And many of us aren't all "peace love groovy" types ... we're happy to kick some ass for the left! ;)
