If the law has been broken, then yes, I would step in because I'm not upholding my values but the law. However, to go into another country and then cry foul on something which we feel is immoral or unlawful in North America but it is perfectly normal and lawful in that country is wrong. For example, stoning of women. I do not like it either but it's something that they do over there...
So you find nothing wrong with stoning women as long as it's legal? Mind numbing!!! Absolutely staggering.

Who are we to tell them how to run their country? It is their law, it is their religion, deal with it.
On the other hand, as an example, how many <insert middle eastern countries> citizens do you see lobbying their government to force North American women to put on more clothes in the high heat of summer because it goes against their values? Should we respect what they want? No? Why should they respect what we want?

Sometimes it's best to mind ones own business (brutality to children excepted). Years ago a guy in New York went to the aid of a woman in a physical dispute with her husband and got himself killed. Hubby and wife lived happily together ever after.

Then again we could start charging similar fees for food that we mostly give away now to feed their poor starving mass's living within some of these oil rich countries. Sand doesn't make a good diet.
