Re: Proroguing Parliament till October buys Harper and Tories time

Now he's using it to buy time to sweep sh*t under the rug.

Canadians are too stupid to notice the lumps in the PMO and some other distraction will come along just in time to hide the broom.

F*cking crooks and liars,

It doesn't matter which group of crooks and liars is leading the country, they are all still crooks and liars.

Re: Proroguing Parliament till October buys Harper and Tories time

Doesnt really bother me at all. I was never against the practice of prorogation, just the way it was used before. He had used it to avoid a confidence vote. This time he is using it for pretty normal reasons which every PM does at some point. I don't understand why so many people in the comment sections are freaking out over this.
Possibly because of the way he used it before?

I wish we could prorogue the Congress. But only if we could prorogue the President too.

Well I told you yesterday he was trying to run for cover up North.

Trying to run away from all the sordid scandals dragging down his corrupt Con regime.

And today he proved me right eh?

Because he can spin it anyway he likes, but this is just another monstrous act of cowardice......

It's been going for decades over most admins.... This isn't anything new

Argh. That doesn't justify it. Doesn't it piss you off that we get the old shoulder shrug and the 'oh well, the last guy did it too'?

I mean, just where in the hell does Harper get the balls to call himself 'a better choice' for Canada when all he does is pull the same lame a ss b.s.?

Of course there is no justification nor does it make a difference relative to the party in power or the 'leader' (I use that word very loosely).

Fact is, in the next election, the one after that and the next 1000 after that - we will still have 'politicians' that break most of their promises, are capable of looking directly in your eye and lying and will pad their individual pockets in one form or another.

No one wants that. No one likes it... But it is reality

... So - my position is that the goal should really be for the electorate to place a party/leader in power that will do the least damage to society in the time that they are in power and lining their pockets

I get that. I really do. It's rational, reasonable, realistic. Basicially a lot of "r" words.

However......

I don't rant very often but when I do, I like other people to rant with me.

....sometimes the 'SSDD' stuff just pisses ya off. Ya know?

Plus I think it's healthy to not keep this stuff bottled up inside. So right now I'm of the mood and mindset to rip the political leadership a cornucopia of new ones.

Don't try to butter me up with waffles now. Did you not see the percent symbols, dollar signs, and ampersands in my thread title?

Lol.

I am soooo tempted to post something along the lines of "there, there (pat on head) - don't worry about this stuff. Your job is to just look pretty".

Now, I didn't post that because I am entirely respectful of the adage that hell hath no fury like a woman scorned... I learned that lesson the hard way (more than once) a long time ago

Smart move. Very smart move. I'll not be distracted nor dissuaded.

Do you really think I'm pretty? Lol.

You know, if they had an election tomorrow, I would make a really bad choice. Because I'm so fed up. I'm tired of them throwing our money away. I'm tired of being told one thing, them doing another, then telling me that actually did what they said they'd do when they didn't even come close. I'm tired of the political game playing. I'm just tired of it all.

YOU need some R & r , Lili darling...

I would guess that to save himself now he has to abolish the Senate. It's just a friggin' circus. How can we expect people to make proper judgment on bills who are not capable of filling out a simple expense form properly. Personally I wouldn't be satisfied until all guilty members of the Senate are charged with fraud and theft.

Hey, if a burglar gets into your house and steals your stuff, it's okay as long as he gives it back at some point right? Both Wallin and Duffy agreed to give the money back. We just have to find some smarter crooks.
