This type of thing would happen eventually regardless of which party is in power if they're there long enough. They become complacent eventually and start believing they can do no wrong.

Exactly....the rot sets in as those seeking power for its own sake make their way into the party that will give them that power.

It is why the Liberals were so so corrupt.

I expected it to take a little longer with the CPC, but maybe not.

Whoever we vote for will inevitably screw up.

All we need to remember is that it is our job to scrutinize them critically when they do.
