Funny. I wnet into a gay restaurant in Vancouver once, no-one bothered me. I ordered my food, it was brought by a nice girl wearing a plaid shirt and jeans, I ate, left a tip, and went out the door. As a matter of fact, I would stack most homosexuals up against any other people when it comes to being pleasant people. Especially if the other people are homophobic.
A couple guys bought a corner store near me once. We became friends. I helped them renovate the store. We'd go over to their place sometimes for supper. Sometimes they'd come to our place. The rest of the neighborhood thought they were ok, too.

Why on Earth should they be relegated to some marginal portion of society, because they are different? That also used to be the case for the different religions which you are so tolerant of, among other subtleties of the human condition. There is nothing abnormal about finding comfort, sharing emotions with another person. Perhaps some years down the road we will be able to understand and accept that, hopefully moreso than we are of accepting the different religions of the world.
