Who armed Iraq? Who loves Saddam?

"Did you ever hear of Gerald Bull? "

Yeah, the guy who was trying to build a super gun for Iraq. He was assassinated (probably by the Israelis, smart move on their part) in Belguim, I believe.

He was a Canadian.

What does he have to do with the topic at hand?

I think Bush has something on Maggie Thatcher's Bastard Son...pictures of him having carnal knowledge of a young sow, perhaps.

Either that, or favours that Tony did Bush or his associates during the scandal that Greg Palast investigated, when it came out that American firms were getting preference over British firms for contracts passed around by Labour MP's for kickbacks.

The CIA first hooked him up with Saddam. It's unclear whether the Canadian government was involved or not.

I think you are wrong on this one, Rev.

I googled Bull, and read several articles on him since you posted this. All accuse the CIA of setting him up to work in South Africa (for which he wound up serving a short jail term in the US).

None accuse the CIA of setting him up in Iraq, which happened after he was completely disillusioned with North America.

In fact, several assume it was the CIA that killed him, (not the Mossad) for his work in Iraq.

Got a link to back up your claim?

Check with the Blackwater mercenary site and see what their age limit is, maybe they'll take you. I'm 55 and already participated in that other US imperialist farce in Vietnam and am still kicking myself for not having gone to Canada. Now I have to donate my tax money to support this current farce. And you wish you could support it with your taxes?! Tell you what--send me the percentage of my federal income tax that goes to the bush regime's war in Iraq, I can sure use all the extra money I can to pay my medical bills.

I'm sure I could find a link or six, but I'm thinking of a couple of documentaries I've seen on Bull.

It's highly unlikely that he just called Saddam up and said he wanted to build a big gun. The timing and his former involvement with the CIA points to them setting him up with Saddam. When it started to look like Israel was going to suffer, Bull was taken care of. It might have been the Mossad or the CIA. It certainly wouldn't be the first time that the CIA had to clean up a mess that they made themselves.

If you believe the liberation of Iraq is necessary, no one's holding ye back. As far as the age thing goes, that doesn't matter now either, they're occasionally re-enlisting retired old timers now. You'll do fine.

 Like I said they'll recruit anyone now

sorry, you cannot join the military in uniform at 51. You may be hired as a civilian if you have special knowledge. In other words you may become a military trainer. Or you can join subcontractors attached to the military. If you want to see action try mercs. If you have no prior experience many of these organizations will train you for a fee (as high as $25,000).

As for private Simpson, let it not be forgotten that he was an astronaut, and so has a specialty. He has also worked in the nuclear field for years. If anyone could find hidden nukes it would be Homer.
