lmao
Fox news is a joke and I can't understand why anyone could take it seriously. But, I guess The Globe, Nat Enq. and Star are taken seriously by a few, too, so I am not surprised.

The White House even commenting on those idiots just gives em relevance. Something they don't deserve.

Maybe they are planning on starting an antitrust suit and breaking up the Fox corporation?

First, you need to rile them up like an insectile hive of wasps. Er...

 They'll need good luck for that. Sounds more like something VP Biden would do.

I think it more likely that they aren't really thinking at all. Reacting, yeah. But very little thought about how that would play out.

Badly. The editors will force the journalists to equate government criticism with government censorship, oblivious to the irony of the situation. Public eats up any talk of government censorship with typical knee jerk reaction: "All censorship is bad (as long as nobody is libeling me)!" Oblivious to their hypocrisy.

I wish it were like the good ol' days (before anyone here was around) when journalists were honest about their bias. When you pick up a copy of the "Republican Times" you know what you are buying, at least. Being unbiased is an impossibility that the media shouldn't be allowed to pretend.

Northern Ontario,
Why is it that a Liberal will easily see that Fox News has a Conservative bias....but fail to see the Liberal bias in CNN and MSNBC?

Guess it's true what they say about the speck of dust in another's eye while missing the log in your own....

They both pander to their respective audiences, nothing new there.

For the same reason that the Conservative thinks their news source with the favourable bias is fair and balanced....it's called conformation bias, and is somewhat related to cognitive dissonance.

What I question is why Americans (of the Northern variety) tolerate what their 'news' has turned into at all, regardless of what side of the fence you sit on.

I don't know. Nor do I really know who you are talking about as I don't think that really fits anyone here. The Liberal part that is. What is a "Liberal" exactly?

I know the bias of the things I read. Which is exactly why I read them: to read opinions that I agree with to learn sophistry I might use or opinions I disagree with to learn the sophistry of those I disagree with. When I want facts I do not pick up a newspaper. When I want facts I go to primary sources. The newspaper is a source of opinion or awareness, but not facts. There is no objectivity to be found in the papers. Same is true of the news on TV. Nobody really cares about facts, anyways.
